Injured Eagle farmer helped by neighbors Swea f agio — Friends arid neighbors gathered at Wai' lace Dawson's farm in Eagle township last Tuesday morning to harvest the remainder of his corn crop. Mr. Dawson had injured his back and spenlt several days as a hospital patient He had fractured six vertebrae. Seven corn picker's and five picker shell- ens .harvested some 80 acres of corn. Midland furnished the fuel for the machines, witti "Bud" Peterson on hand. Furnishing machinery and help were Jack Reece, Harvey C. Larsen, Walter, Richard and Ha'rald O'Green, Art Larsen, .Merlin Carlsons Howard Enickson, Everett Thorson, Gunnard Larson, Junior Ellis, Lester Lindell, Art Kracht, HarOld Swanson, Orviille Rip- penitrop, Jack Smith, Walter DaWson, George Wallenltine, • JOhnie Tobin, Arnold Duet, Sylvester Goraczkowski, Jens Madsen, Lloyd Thorson, Paul, Wiectimann-, Jim Koons, Don Cmmk, Orvi-He Thoreson, Vern Johnson, Walter Mag- niusen, Kevin Thorsoa, and Pastor Peterson. Friends and neighbor women furnished food and 'helped serve dinner and morning and afternoon lunches. 'Mrs.' Walter Magnuseni was 'hospitalized at Estherville Monday 'through Wednesday for tests and treatment. •Mrs. Truman Johnson 'is a 'surgery patient at St. Mary's 'hospital,- Rochester, 'Minn, She has a slipped disc in, her back.
