JJ, 25 boys report for junior high wrestling here Junior high school wfestl* ing coach Fritz Nielsen has 18 eighth graders and seven 7th graders working out on tha mats this year. They have a meet scheduled Wednesday, Nov. 22 here against Britt, at 4:30 p.m. A meet with Blue Earth has been cancelled, so this means only four meets re- main after the Britt encounter for the 7th and 8th graders. Most of Algona's top wres* tiers on the varsity this year got their start in this junior high program, which has proven very beneficial to these Algona wrestlers. Darrel Harms and JlmBah- llng shared scoring honors for the Titonka boys with 16 points each. Wayne Lavrenz netted 16 points to pace Burl's scoring. Both Tltonka squads are 1-0 for the season. Burt's boys own a 1-1 record and the girls are 0-2. The Sentral girls defeated Ringsted 68-33 in preliminary action. Cindy Loekwood scored 28 points for Sentral while Carol Sorensen had 13 points for Ringsted. Doug Nelson and Duane Will paced the boys win with 25 and 17 points respectively but two other regulars were in double figures — Ron Wolf with 14 and Don Bristow with 10. LuVerne pulled away slowly in the first half and led by only a 25-22 count at the half. The LuVerne girls were tied at the quarter 12-12 and then moved into a 28-20 halftime lead to take control of the game. Two forwards, Linda WUhelm and Michele Coyle, hit 24 and 23 points to pace the win. Connie Hefty added nine points while Kris Meyer, Laurie and Becky Coyle played in the back court.
