It was the fourth straight- victory for the Padres without a loss. They finished 3-20 last season. The previous year the Padres won only four games.

"After we beat Central, all the kids had smiles on their faces and looked at me and said, 'Hey, coach, we beat last year's said Marcos coach Bob "I kind of laughed.
