PAGE TWO PROVO (UTAH) EVENING HERALD, JANUARY 7, 1936 Ethel D. Rambeau Society Editor Phone 494 Fashions Menus Church, Lodge Functions Lora Dunn Is Home From Honolulu After having enjoyed a delightful and interesting six weeks' trip to Honolulu, Miss Lora Dunn returned to Provo Monday. Miss Dunn reports innumerable unusually enjoyable experiences and was entertained extensively during her two weeks' stay in Honolulu. She attended the University of Utah-University of Hawaii football game, also, the Utah Christmas party tendered at the Pleasanton hotel. She was met in Honolulu by George Alexander, former Provo- an, who entertained in her honor at the Royal Hawaiian hotel.

Also, she was honored at an affair at the Alexander Young hotel, and prominent among the other socials was a function given by Mrs. Eliza N. Salm, president of the Relief society in Honolulu; an affair at the plantation home of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Morrell in Aica, former Utahns; a party given by Capt.

and Mrs. Robert Sharp at the Beach club in Scho- ficld Barracks; a Christmas dinner by L. L. Gardner; a social at the home of Castle H. Murphy, president of the L.

D. S. mission, and Mrs. Castle, and a Hookilau and Luau at Laie, as the guest of Mr. Alexander.

The Luau was held at the home of President and Mrs. Waddoups. Also, she took the plane, "Sikorski" to Hilo, and enjoyed a tour of the island of Hawaii and visited Die active volcano, Mauna Loa. She arrived in Los Angeles harbor on the "Monterey" December 31, and spent a short time with her sister, Mrs. Joseph Passey and family in Los Angeles.

She was among the many Utahns who attended the Tournament of R.oses and the Rose Bowl game at Pasadena New Year's day, also, she was tendered a party at the Biltmore hotel by Mr. and Mrs. Phil Johnson. Pass Fashion Test Calendar Homework goes as smooth as silk when handsome school clothes cater to the student's pride. The girl at the left wears a navy silk crepe frock with a white collar.

Tiny pearl buttons dot the front of the dress. At right the little girl looks on in a navy silk crepe dress trimmed with smocking accented by small white French knots. Animated Cartoon Work Is Studied Permanent Waving and all other phases of BEAUTY WORK MILADY BEAUTY SERVICE (Pacfadod CLAMS Fan-ell Collett, art instructor at Provo high school, has returned from West Hollywood, California where he has been studying art at the Walt Disney studios during the Christmas holidays. After working nearly two weeks, Mr. Coliett was transferred and worked for a few days in one of the departments.

From a group of 1700 contestants, he was one of nine to be offered a position, which he declined to accept due to his present contract at Provo high school. One of the interesting things he learned was the way ideas submitted by competitors are passed to a board who use the round table style of discussion. Even Walt Disnay submits his own work- to this board. His story "The Three Little Pigs" appeared for their appraisal three times before it was finally passed. For one short cartoon much care is taken.

One line out of place in the original drawing shows up plainly when it is magnified may times on the screen. To make a complete feature 15,000 photographs are taken. Plans are now under way for a full-length pic- i ture. Just a Few of Our Many Saving Prices Listed Below CRYSTAL WHITE, Soap 10 WHITE NAVY LARGE LIMA 5 for. 2lbs.
