A family friend, Ruben Phillips, 24, address unknown, was held for questioning late Sunday after he was found hiding with a small-caliber pistol in the back yard of 8135 W. Monterey Way, Lease said. "He came at me, then he went for Ruben." Phillips then shot Alford, police and witnesses said However, another brother-in-law, Danny Klink, 21, said that, even before the shooting, Phillips had threatened him with the gun. Danny Klink said he had just gone out the back door of the home and entered the breezeway when Phillips drew his gun and pointed it at him. "He pulled it on me first," he said. "He pointed at me and cocked it. I thought he was going to shoot me.

I jumped back and ran in the house to grab the shotgun." Danny Klink said he heard two shots as he went inside. When he returned to the breezeway, Danny Klink said, he chased Phillips around a neighbor's house but lost him as Phillips hopped a fence. 3 inmates escape Associated Press KINGMAN Three Mohave County inmates walked away from the county's honor farm northeast of Kingman early Sunday. The three poets are very different, in appearance, background and style They use that to their advantage in putting together a performance. "One thing we do is something called Scenes from America," Mounsey said, "sounds from where we're from." Gilerense, in particular, writes of the rural South, of his grandmother and her Bible, and of the strange couple up the road. "We're three opposit.es," Evans said, "and I think that makes us more interesting, I've learned, too, PALrSS PHOTO that putting together a performance is a separate and intriguing art form. We try to craft a performance with a theme, with continuity, with a beginning, a middle and an end." The Revolving Wheel Review, which owes its name to a line by Emily Dickinson, started three years ago with four poets. Two have left Arizona, and Gilcrease joined.

They've printed one small book and hope to do another. "Not a big seller," Mounsey said, "but we sold it where we performed. Made enough to pay for our gas to the next reading."
