Purcell has been a precinct committeewoman for 14 years, is a former district chairwoman in the Central Phoenix District 21 and is immediate past president of Cactus Wren Republican Women. She serves on the board of directors of the National Federation of Republican Women and is a former co-chairman of the Republican Trunk 'N Tusk Club.
