with esident signature The White House announced the president had signed this measure along with 130 other bills passed by the last congress The wage hour law fixes mini mum wage of 25 cents an hour andmaximum work week of 44 hours effective 120 days from SaturQBJ the date of the president Other features ef the act go into ef Rt OHCP The minimum wage of 25 cents an hour to which no exceptions will be panted will be Increased to 30 centsCc ttaef AdOVC an hour tne that point committees appointed by the administration for each industry Will fix the minimum pay Hourly Maxima will decrease to the second year and 40 thereafter All persons employed a larger number of mt be naid time and ona half pay for overtime except in sea sonsl industries running not more than 1 4 weeks a year where employes may work 56 hours before overtime is PThe president will appoint 'an ad ministrawr who will receive $10000 a year to direct enforcement of the aAs soon as the administrator Is appointed he will be empowered to appoint committees represen ting tne 1 employes an demployers charged with Increasing the wage minimum to 40 cents an hour in each industry as rapidly as possible These committees will be permitted to grant exceptions to the 40 cent minima on the basis of economic and sectional factors At the end of seven years however all minima will be ln 4 creased to 40 cents automatically
