'ALL EDITIONS G2 The Arizona Republic Saturday, December 6, 1980 Samuel Beecroft Samuel Aylmer Beecroft, 77, who had been affiliated with Foxworth-Gailbraith Lumber and active in the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce many years, died Dec. 4, 1980, in Beatitudes Care Center. Beecroft, 1712 W. Glendale came to Prescott in 1932 and lived in Phoenix since 1939. He was a life member of Kiwanis International.

He was born in England and reared in Uvalde, Tex. Survivors include his Annie; children, "Mary B. Hardin and William nine grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. Services will be 8:30 today in A. L.

Moore Sons Memory Chapel, 333 W. Adams. A. Sturgeon Mary Ann Sturgeon, 51, who began her career as an artist 25 years ago in Kansas City, and lived several years in Phoenix until last year, died of cancer Nov. 28, 1980, in.

her Albuquerque home. Mrs. Sturgeon gained early recognition for her religious sculptures and was equally wellknown for her work in pastelsand oils. She was one of the founders of the old Westport Artist Guild of Kansas City. Her last work, a bronze of "A little Boy and His was completed last summer at her studio in Tesugue, N.

M. It will be presented to the Gilcrease Institute of American History and Art in Tulsa, Okla. Survivors include her children, Jean McKown, Dana Lowry, Kelly, Jody, Steve, Chris and Bob; mother, Mrs. J.J. Bunn; two grandchildren; a sister and three brothers.

Cremation was in Al, buquerque. 'L; T. Hathaway FLAGSTAFF Me- morial services for the Rev. Luther T. Hathaway, 51, owner of Universal Press and former pastor of the Northern University Campus Christian will be 1 p.m.

"Sunday at the Federated Community Church. Mr. Hathaway died Dec. 2, 1980, at his home. He was a native of Virginia and came to Flagstaff in 1964.

He retired as an active minister in 1968 after establishing the Campus Christian Center. He then started Universal Press, which he was operating at the time of death. Survivors include his wife, Becky; sons, Tom and David; daughters, Susan and Jeanet; his mother, Mrs. L. T.

Rust FLAGSTAFF Mass for Clement C. Rust, 61, who died Dec. 3, 1980, at Flagstaff Community Hospital, will be 9 a.m. today at St. Pius Catholic Church.

Mrs. Rust, an Oregon native, moved to Flagstaff in 1958. He was a foreman for Arizona Public Service Co. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jean; sons, Barry, Terrance and Lauren; three daughters, Mary Jo Dullum, Michelle and Christine; three grandchildren; a brother and a sister. Dona Koehl TEMPE Services for Dona Mae Koehl, 64, who died Dec. 4, 1980, in Fountain Run, will be 11 a.m. Monday in Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden, Scottsdale. Mrs.

Mrs. Seaman, 3027 W. Rose Lane, died Dec. 3, 1980, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Lewiston, Idaho.

She was a member of Bethany Bible Church. Surviving are her husband, Vern; children, Linda Bagley, Jeaneen, Judy, Heidi, Mary, a and Kevin; eight grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers. Madison. Mrs. Nelson, 4420 S. 18th Place, came here in 1960 from New Mexico and died Nov. 29, 1980, in Good Samaritan Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Allen; stepmother, Earnestine Cooper; a sister and a brother. June Smothers Memorial services for June Smothers, 87, who died Dec. 3, 1980, in Phoenix Baptist Hospital, will be 10:30 a.m. today in Christ Church of the Ascension, 4015 E. Lincoln Drive.

Mrs. Smothers, 1750 W. Bethany Home, was born in Nebraska and came here in 1978 form Colorado. She is survived by children, Virginia Bussey and Allen; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Curtis Blackwater BLACKWATER Services for Curtis A.

Blackwater, 69, who died Nov. 27, 1980, in Sacaton Indian Hospital, will be 10 a.m. today in Blackwater Baptist Church. Mr. Blackwater was born in Blackwater and had been a farmer.

Laman, 2303 N. 46th came here 23 years ago from her native Pennsylvania and died Dec. 3, 1980, in St. Joseph's Hospital. She is survived by sisters, Anna Pape and Rose Turriziani.

Gertrude Stickney APACHE JUNC- TION Friends of Gertrude Stickney, 76, who died Dec. 5, 1980, in Mesa Lutheran Hospital, may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden, Scottsdale. Services will be in her native Red Lodge, Mont.

Mrs. Stickney came here in 1971 and was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Lutheran Church. Mr. Mooney, 4806 W. Hubbell, died Dec. 4 4, 1980, in Desert Haven Nursing Home. He was born in Wetumka, and came here in 1943.

Ballard, 9941 Hope Drive, died Dec. 4, 1980, in Valley View Hospital. He was a World War" I veteran and a 57-year member of the Masonic Lodge in Kingsville, Tex. He came here in 1964 from St. Louis, Mo.

Surviving are his wife, Myrtle; two sisters and two brothers. Frank Bloyer Graveside services for Frank X. Bloyer, 58, a tool and die maker who came here in 1975 from Minnesota, will be noon Monday in Arizona Veterans Cemetery, Cave Creek and Pinnacle Peak roads. Mr. Bloyer, 2028 W.

Altadena, died Dec. 2, 1980, in Phoenix Veterans Hospital. He is survived by a daughter, Debra Harwood; a grandchild and a halfbrother. John Kramer Memorial services for John D. Kramer, 14, who was on the student council at West Phoenix Vocational High School, will be 7:30 p.m.

Monday in Palmcroft Baptist Church, 1529 W. McDowell. John, of 1507 N. 39th Drive, was killed in a Phoenix auto-bicycle accident Dec. 4, 1980.

He came here in 1973 from his native Pottstown, Pa. Surviving are his mother, Norma J. Kramer; a sister and three brothers. Julia Tulin MESA Services for Julia Tulin, 92, who died Dec. 4, 1980, in Los Flores Nursing Home, will be 10 a.m.

Monday in Melcher Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Drive. Mrs. Tulin, 419 E. Fairfield, came here eight months ago from Los Angeles.

She is survived by children, Leora Lindteigen, Lillian Savchenko, Violet Whitsson, Ray and Glenn; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister and a brother. Milton Johnson Milton F. Johnson, 71, who had worked for the Del E. Webb Corp. and was a member of Construction Workers Union Local 383, died Dec.

4, 1980, in Phoenix Memorial Hospital. Mr. Johnson, 2425 W. Papago, was a native of Lakeside and lived in Phoenix since 1946. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Betty Childers, Margie Bacon, Debbie, Ellen, Dale and Bob Johnson, Eddie Watson and Rodney Payton; four sisters; four brothers; 26 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Walter Winner SUN CITY Walter I. Winner, 74, who had been a construction engineer 38 years for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and came here in 1977 from Salem, died Dec. 4, 1980, in Boswell Hospital. Mr.

Winner, 9731 Granada Drive, is survived by his wife, Helen; children, Lucille Morehouse, Lorraine Roderick and Robert; three brothers; 11 grandchildren cared 10 Mass will be 11:30 a.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 98th Avenue and Palmeras Drive. Wilson H. Lotton COTTONWOOD Memorial services for Wilson H. Lotton, 63, who died Dec. 3, 1980, at Marcus Lawrence Memorial Hospital, will be 2 p.m. today at the Elk's Lodge in Clarkdale.

Mr. Lotton, who resided here eight years, was a retired truck driver and mechanic. He was an Indiana native. Survivors include his wife, Gail; daughters, Gay Anderson and Lynda Mann; sons, Ronald Lotton and Wilbur Anderson; three brothers and a grandchild. Westcott Funeral Home made arrangements.

Naomi Anderson Services for Naomi Ann Anderson, 91, who came to Phoenix in 1906 from her native Arkansas, will be 11 a.m. Monday in A. L. Moore Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams.

Mrs. Anderson, 1261 W. Ellis, died Dec. 4, 1980, in a Phoenix hospital. She had been a secretary six years for the Arizona National Guard before retiring in 1950.

Mrs. Lehman, 19006 99th Drive, came here in Feburary from Milwaukee. She is survived by her husband, Clarence; sons, John and Richard; six grandchildren; a sister and a brother. Gunnar Thude CHANDLER Pri- vate services for Gunnar Thude, 77, a sheep and cattle rancher who came to the Valley 58 years ago from his native Denmark, will be 10 a.m. Monday in Carr Mortuary, 26 E.

Fifth Tempe. Mr. Thude, who lived near Chandler, died Dec. 2, 1980, in Desert Samaritan Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Gerda; children, Elma Sanudo, Mary Baroldy, Frances Moore, Betty and Eldon; 17 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; a sister and a brother.

Missouri, died Dec. 4, 1980, in Maryvale Samaritan Hospital. He is survived by wife, Madalyne; daughter, Carol Callahan; mother-in-law, Amy Meyer and two sisters. Louise Ligman GLENDALE Mass Louise Ligman, 83, who died Dec. 4, 1980, in a Glendale hospital, will be 10 a.m.

Tuesday in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catho lic Church, 5614 W. Orangewood. Mrs. Ligman, 14022 N. 51st Lane, was born in Chicago and came here in 1972.

Eli "Jack" Owens Memorial services for Eli "Jack" Owens, 68, who had been a general contractor in California before coming to Phoenix in 1969, will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Unity Church, 1321 W.

Northern. Mr. Owens, 11636, N. 31st died Nov. 25, 1980, in Glendale Samaritan Hospital.

He was a member of Carpenters Local 906. He was born in Alabama. Surviving are his wife, Susan; sons, Arthur and Wayne; three grandchildren; a sister and a brother. Sylvia Perkins SCOTTSDALE Services for Sylvia Kennelly Perkins, 78, who died Dec. 4, 1980, in Scottsdale Memorial Hospital, will be 2 p.m.

Tuesday in Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden. Mrs. Perkins, 8780 E. McKellips, was born in Decatur, and moved here in 1979 from San Diego.

Her husband, Mart C. survives. Weiford Rupkey SUN CITY Services for Welford C. Rupkey, 77, who was born in Fort Thomas and was graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in mechanical engineering, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N.

103rd Ave. Mr. Rupkey, 10419 Snead Drive, died Dec. 5, 1980, in Boswell Hospital. He had owned businesses in the White Mountains, was once in the Douglas Aircraft experimental department and had served on the City of Prescott board of adjustments.

He was a member of the Horseless Carriage Club and Corral of Westerns Club, both in Prescott, the McNary Rotary and Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Surviving are his wife, Grace; two sisters and three brothers. Steven Pierce SUN CITY Services for Steven D. Pierce, 76, who had been a specialist with Streff Advertising Co. and came here in 1975 from Wauwatosa, will be 1 p.m.

Monday in American Lutheran Church, 17200 Del Webb Blvd. Mr. Pierce, 10419 Loma Blanca Drive, died Dec. in Boswell He had been a member of the Kiwanis and Kachina clubs and the board of Christian Businessmen's Association of Sun City. 5, 1980, in St. Joseph's Hospital. He was a member of Madison Baptist Church and a World War II Army Air Force veteran. Glenn Jones Glenn "Blackie" Jones, 81, a former owner of the Round-up Motel and a life member of Elks Lodge 2090, both in Show Low, died Dec.

4, 1980, in Village Green Nursing Home. Mr. Jones came to Arizona 52 years ago from Missouri. He is survived by sisters, Ella Spurling and Ruby Mathewson. Services will be 10 a.m.
