regular meeting Thursday May 16 at the Burton Memorial Presbyterian church The meeting was called to order at 730 by Scoutmaster Evans There was a brief clean up period of the room at the meeting place while others practiced fire by fnction in prepara tion for the Lynchburg Jamboree In the business discussion plans were made for the Lynchburg Jamboree and a money making Idea was de cided upon The meeting place was then turned into a political campaigning ground as the boys showed the true spirit for the good of the troop as new offices inally after an hour or soof nomi nating campaigning and voting the new officers were selected as follows: Patrol leaders Henry Evans Joe Southard and Witcher Turner Quartermaster Stephen Kizer Scribe Arion Johnson Then the old patrols and arlginal leaders met for the last time Dues was collected and plans were marie for some hikes The scoutmaster gave the new officials plans for the future and helped them select patrols The meeting was closed called to order the regular meeting of troep two at the Episcopal church last riday night with 28 scouts and one official present The colors were pre sented and the scout oath law pledge of allegiance and Lord's prayer were repeated The roll was then called and dues collected The troop was st ijthen drilled for fifteen minutes by Assistant Scoutmaster Pruden The troop was then dismissed to go to the patrol rooms The patrol representing this troop in the com ing Lynchburg Jamboree was given special Instructions by the senior patrol leader The troop then assembled in the recreation hall where
