Weed Park Again Draws Crowds to Annual Picnics Annual reunions and family picnics were the vogue again at Weed park Sunday as ideal weather brought out large crowds for the annual events. Thousands gathered at Muscatine's most popular outing site as relatives convened. Basket dinners and suppers were served and the day spent with games, contests and programs. JRausch Gathering.

At the George Rausch family picnic, about 35 attended as follows: Mr. and Mrs. George Rausch, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Rausch and family, Mr.

and Mrs. Leonard Rausch and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Lutz and family, Mr. and Mrs.

I. J. Williams and family, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Harris and daughter, Mr.

and Mrs. Paul Irwin' and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Klstler and Caroline Joan. Beltels Honored.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beitel and Irene and George, of St. Petersburg, were guests of honor at the Barnard'family picnic held at the park. The Beitel family resided in Muscatine until about 10 years ago.

Guests included: Mrs. Elizabeth Smull, sister of Mrs. Fred Beitel, Delia Edwards of and family. Lee Barnard of Moline, Mr. and Mrs.

Todd Muscatine County Residents Picnic at Burlington Park A group from Muscatine county and surrounding communities joined In a picnic and outing at Crapo park in Burlington, Sunday afternoon. Attending were, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Crow of Keokuk; and Mr. and Mrs.

The reunion will tie held next year on the second Saturday in August. Officers for next year are John McNall, president; Clarence Thomas, vice president; Lois Rausch, secretary; Clyde Hampton, assistant secretary; Mrs. Charles Mewes, the treasurer. The program committee is composed of Mrs. Clarence Thomas, Alice Mae McNall, Flosie Thornburg: and Helen Baldwin.

160 at Outing. The fourteenth annual reunion of the McK-all-Hesser families was held at the park Sunday with 160 present. Those attending came from Davenport, Muscatine, Letts, Chicago, Buffalo, DeWitt, Montpeller, Columbus Junction, Wapello, Andalusia, Rock Island, Gladstone. Joy, Viola, New Boston, Aledo, Illinois City, New Windsor, Eliza, Carbon Cliff, Edgington and West Liberty. The nineteenth annual reunion of the Lieberknecht family will be held at Weed park on Thursday, Aug. 15, it was announced today. BLOOMINGTON BEST CLUB HOLDS ACHIEVEMENT DAY The Bloomington Best Four-H club at the home of Helen and Ruth LeFcver Friday afternoon and held Us Achisvemert day program. Products to be exhibited at the West Liberty fair were chosen at the meeting.

The program consisted of roll call, "My Favorite Flower for Table Decoration," demonstration, ''The Correct Way to Set a Table," by Helen LeFever, and a talk on "Meal planning," by Wanda Zeller. Fair plans were discussed by the members at the business meeting. Combined Bands and Women's Chorus to Appear Wednesday A women's chorus.of 50 voices will be a feature of the last concert of the summer series to be played by the combined boys' and girls' bands of the city at the east lawn of the Jefferson (school grounds, at 8 p. m. Wednesday, it was announced today.

The chorus has been recruited from various church choirs of the city. The band will be compoaed of 75 pieces and special music been purchased for the concert.
