The proposal includes a 350-acre lake and a 9-hole golf course. Keith Logue, Livermore heads the 50-mernber committee representing the 10 communities <3f the county and formed to organize a non-profit corporation of Humboldt county residents which will direct plans for the project. Logue is a member of the major obstacle, Logue says, but the committee hopes to receive federal, state and county conservation board money. This would include bond issues and a fund-raising drive throughout the ooun» ty. The committee is currently attempting to schedule a meet' ing with the Iowa Conservation Commission and additional al feasibility studies must be made. A total of 1,850 acres of land would be in voted in the recreation area, including 1,000 acres of shore line.
