I960 CenterviUe Will Blacktop Brimstone Road This Year Borough Council Will Seek Bids; Other Town News CENTERVILLE, June At Monday night's meeting the borough council voted to blacktop the Brimstone road this summer. The project has not been advertised for bids as yet. When this is completed there will be only two gravel roads remaining one of these being a state road which the borough will not be able to improve.

though many loads of gravel have been used this year in an attempt to rectify the winter damage, this road still is in poor condition. It is the flat road to Spartansburg. The other gravel road in the borough is the Walker road. Mr. and Mrs.

Fuller and Mrs. Harley Hall attended the baccalaureate service at Townville Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. W.

H. Howard arrived home Tuesday after attending the American Baptist conven- tioi. at Rochester, N.Y. They were entertained at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.

E. A. Howard of Batavia, N.Y. Baptist choir rehearsal will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. at the church.

Many Attend Decker Funeral There was a large attendance of relatives and friends present at the funeral of Walter R. Decker at the family residence on Thursday, June 2, at 2 p.m. Rev. Lloyd Chelton, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiated, assisted by Rev. Adolph Steed of the Titusville Free Methodist Church.

Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery with the following serving as pall bearers: Rev. John H. Clark, Russell M. Clark, Stephen Zook, Raymond Drake, Merton Donon and John Van Cise. Relatives present from a distance were son, Reed Decker, of Arcadia, who was here from Tuesday until Sunday; a brother and sister-in-law, Attorney and Mrs.

M. B. Decker, of Mt. Pleasant, here from Tuesday until Saturday; Miss Joan Decker of Jackson, was at the home of her parents, Rev. and Mrs.

Roy R. Decker, from Wednesday until Sunday. Among other relatives from a.distance who attended the funeral or called at the home were Mrs. Charles Decker of Parkersburg, W. and daughter, Mrs.

Graduates Congratulated The community extends congratulations to Titusville High School graduate, Marjory Upton, upon receiving the Titusville Teachers' Association Scholarship award. She plans to attend Edinboro State College. Fuller attended the wedding of Beverly Warner and Glenn Frey at the First Baptist Church in Oil. City. The bride is the daughter of the former Betty Crouch of this place. Mr. and Mrs.

The children had a good time and Billy received many nice gifts. Mrs. Mo-ris Halfast attended a concert at the LinesvilJe Srea schools Friday evening with her daughter, Mrs. Robert Denham, and family. Allan Denham plays a cornet in the band.

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Kalk- brenner and family were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Robbins of Tryonville.

Baptist Bible School which will open on June 20 will continue Monday through Friday for two weeks with morning sessions. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Follett and children and Kenny Johnson of Corry were dinner of Mrs. Morris Halfast Sunday.

Rev. and Mrs. C. A. Fuller, Mr.

and Mrs. Lester Tegeler, Mrs Lee Fuller and John, Mrs. Harley Hall, Mrs. Robert Walker, Miss Irene White, Connie and Bonnie Kelly were guests at the graduation of Bonnie Hall Tuesday evening. All attended a party at the Hall home following commencement.

The Baptist Woman's. Mission Society will honor the business and professional women of the church and recent girl graduates at a smorgasbord at the home of Mrs. Robert Walker on Wednesday, June 15, at 6:30 p.m. The committee will be Mrs. Alvin Lawrence, Ethel Hall and Mrs.

Harley Hall. Methodist conference will be in session in Meadville this week. As next Sunday is "Conference Sunday" the pastor will not be present. However, will be a service at the usual church hour 11 a.m. The MYF will have a skating party Monday evening at Cana- dohta Lake.
