Wood Co. Echo fur the past 25 years, died at his home in Quitnmn Friday after an illness of 19 days. Funeral services were held Saturday in the First Baptist Church, Rev. David Griffin, pastor, officiating, interment was in Quilman Cemetery. lie was a native of Wood County and attended Hie Quilman public schools.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a Mason. He had been jn Ihe newspaper business with his son, Sam Hart, at the lime of his death. lie is survived by his wife and two sons. Sam Hart of Quitman and Thomas Corley Hart of Dallas; four daughters, Mrs. Earl G.

Thomas and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Amacker. Dallas: Mrs. Joseph M. Lee of Terrell and Mrs.

W. W. Brittain of Sulphur Springs; and two sisters, Miss Rhonda Hart of Dallas and Mrs. Clyde Jordan of Alba. Mr.

Hart was related to the Hart families of Upshur County and was a faithful attendant of the Hart family reunion. He iad many friends in both Upshur and Wood Counties. With Mr. Hart's passing went one of the last old-lime "country" journalists in this section of Texas. He had spent most of his.
