Eduard Taborsky, a member of the Government Department at the University of Texas, will be the speaker for the Pattison Parent Teachers Association which will be held -in the gymnasium on Thursday night, April 14 at 7:30. Since Dr. Taborsky is one of the outstanding lecturers in Texas today, the Association is inviting the general public to hear a description of world conditions today given by a man who has known and worked with outstanding European leaders.

He was elected at a meet-ing of the city officials last Monday. Arrangements are being made with the Brookshire Municipal Water District, to have his fee appear on the water bills of those who have agreed to pay for a nitchwatchman, and will be paid with same, thus eliminating the need for him to go from place to place' to collect his salary, according to D. Eight Kaly Pupils Elected to National Honor Society The eight newly elected members to the Katy Chapter of the National Honor Society were officially announced at a special assembly program last Friday morning. The new members are: Betty Lou Baker, Jean Miller, Ellen Moebes, Gary Tamplin, Patricia Franz, Barbara Schoeneman, Ralph Sloan, and Donna Jo Thompson. Membership in the National Honor Society is' restricted to the upper 20 per cent of the Senior Class and the upper 10 per cent of the Junior Class. The eligible members must also have a scholastic average of 85 per cent or better in all courses taken during their High School career. Pupils are adjudged by the faculty on the basis of their character, leadership exhibited and service rendered to the school, church and community.
