Drama courses to win today IS she Carly or Samantha? Sharyn Hodgson feels she is a bit of both people, because she has just finished filming a twin role in the serial Home and Away. She played Carly and her nastier twin Samantha. In Home and Away Sharyn, 19, normally just plays Carly.

"Being twins was a big challenge, but good to do," said Sharyn. "Carly is 1 7, in her last year at school and like all teens has her problems." "I am really different to Carly," said Sharyn. "When we first got scripts I had to work out how she should be played." "I was given a history of Carly, built on it and moulded a character." Sharyn is often recognised by people now, and is asked for her autograph. Carly is Sharyn's first regular role, after leaving school, although she has had guest appearances in shows like A Country Practice. She learned drama for four years at The Peter Williams School of Dramatic Art, Phillip Street, beginning when she was 14.

She liked it immediately, and dreamed of an acting career. "It was a terrific to get something like: this straight away," she said. "The work is hard, but I love it." Because of her years at drama school Sharyn isn't nervous about people watching her act. "The drama course is good training, you get confidence and lose your inhibitions." "Even kids who didn't want to act as a career enjoyed drama, and you could see it gave them confidence too." We have two drama scholarships to The Peter Williams School of Dramatic Art, to give away. The courses cost $180 each, and are held on Saturdays for nine weeks.

Yatzee. Bat Talented OUR cockatoo is eight-years-old and his name is Cocky. When he was young we used to feed him porridge from a spoon. When he got older he started to lose feathers because he had a disease, so we moved him inside. He has learnt a few things while living inside.

When the toaster pops he screeches until he gets a piece of toast and Vege-mite. Our dog barks when she hears a car, so Cocky barks too. My dad has hay fever and sneezes a lot, and Cocky copies him sneezing. Cocky also dances to music. Whenever the phone rings or the door bell chimes Cocky says "hello" in his sweetest voice.

It's fun having a cocky that barks, sneezes and dances. Prize of $5 to Bronwya (13), Maffra.Vic. WINTER: Prize of to Nicky, Dasbo. IV 0 A 1 tleship. Trouble and Hi-Q.
