Our post office has added a new bulletin to its walls which "ought to efhectually do away, -with those questions, Are the mails closed," and hundreds of tithcrs on a like order which the postmaster has to hear and answer every day in the week. It is a large, nicely framed poster with eighteen clock faces set in the center. At first sight these faces seem to be real clocks, Hut on closer inspection they are found to be only imitations with the hands set at the stated hours when the office and mails open and close.

Eight clocks state when the mails coins' east, west, north and south close and eight others when they open. Two clocks with the hands set at a quarter of seven a. m. and eight p. m.

Some little time ago he was seriously hurt by the cars and had one limb amputated, but seemed to be improving.
