Former Ten reporter Stephen Feneley said Ten's owners, Can West, appeared unconcerned about the quality or performance of news, stripping staff levels and budgets to a bare minimum with Travers firing the bullets. "They show no commitment to the product or the people who make it so why should the staff show any commitment to he said.

"There is nothing stopping Channel 10 from getting out of news that's what they want to do. They don't seem to care about the quality or the performance of the product as it is.
