Mfss Mashburn wore a rayon wool dress in two-tone pink and maroon. She carried black accessories. Mrs. E. B.

Harvard registered guests in the bride's book. The honorce won a bride dressing contest and received a crystal relish dish and Mrs. W. E. Sims won an ad game and received a vase which she presented to the honored guest.

Gifts were brought in by Little Judy Harvard, Nelda Hall and Jahala Fields in a pink and white basket. The children were a niece and cousins of Mr. Hall, respectively. Mrs and Mrs. Sims presided at the punch bowl.

Fruit punch and angel food cake was served to Mesdames C. M. Mashburn, C. J. Hall, C.

Rawlins Wed In a quiet ceremony Thursday evening Miss Lucile Gaskill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Gaskill of Dallas, became the bride of A. Rawlins, Jr.

Rev Chester Steele performed the service in the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Rawlins, Sr.

The bride wore a jabot original olive green wool suit and brown accessories, set off with a corsage of sweetheart roses and white carnation. The wedding ring was a Rawlins heirloom. The wedding party had at Castor's with the traditional cake and lighted white candles as a centerpiece. The couple will make their home in Dallas following a trip to Galveston. Surprise Shower Honors Mrs.

May Mrs. H. K. May was the honoree at a delightful surprise stork shower Tuesday afternoon in the home Mrs. Ralph' E.

Gray, with Mrs. R. C. Miller as co-hostess. Branze and yellow mums in a mass arrangement adorned the dining table, with stork vases holding asters and daisies, and baby f-calc vase with pink and blue flow- trs at other vantage points.

The honoree was presented a carnation corsage by the hostesses. Bluberry tarts topped with whipped cream, candy and coffee were served before the opening of the gifts. Bridge was played during the afternoon, with Mrs. G. Raymond Kelly high, Mrs.

Broadway was solemnized Friday, Nov. 13 at the home of Rev. Allen, Assembly of God pastor, who officiated. Parents of the bride and bridegroom and Mr. and Mrs.

Hoyt Broadway were present for the ceremony. The bride wore a blue velvet dress with brown accessories and a corsage of white carnations. She carried a White Bible. Immediately following the cere- ir.ony cake and coffee were served at the home of the bride's parents. Stork Shower Honors Mrs.

Faull Mrs. Gene Faull was honored with a gracious hospitality Wednesday afternoon when Mrs. J. W. Bullard entertained with a stork shower.

Mrs. Faull was presented with a white chrysanthemum corsage by the hostess. Two games were played with Mrs. George Manross and Mrs. Gale Douglas, winners.

The luncheon was to give the children an opportunity to practice table manners which they have been studying in their unit on citizenship. 1 of the First Christian church in Freeport met in an all-day meeting at the home of Mrs. A. R. Harrison at Jones Creek Tuesday. A covered dish luncheon was served at noon.

Ten were present with two new members, Mrs. Nat Hickey and Mrs. Young. The afternoon was spent sewing for the Bazaar which will be on Dec. 13.
