Prosecutors said that after the escape, Ferreira entered a residence and held a 37-year-old woman at knifepoint for six hours before he stole her truck.

Ferreira faces trial next week on charges he sexually assaulted two women between the time of his escape and being recaptured in December at the University of Arizona library.
