TELEVISION Indiana Jones Corey Carrier, at age 10 and Sean Patrick Flanery at 17. In tonight's episode, it's Flanery (pictured) who is captured by German soldiers. The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles: Somme And Germany, 1916, Channel 9, Monday, 8.30pm The concept for The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles was born from producer George Lucas's desire to liven up the educational system he hated as a child. And so here is an adventure series, with some spectacular digital special effects, in which the young lndy character introduces viewers to some tum-of-the-century historical figures, famous battles and far-off lands. In Monday's movie-length episode, the history lesson sees young lndy at the crucial battle of the Somme in World War I.

Two actors play are now spent in an endless succession of alcoholic coffee mornings and pub crawls. Into this world of disappointment and remorse bounds television personality and professional Welshman Alun Weaver (John Stride, above right) with eager plans to write the great Welsh novel. Characters include Alun's wife Rhiannon (Sheila Allen) and Peter Thomas (James Grout). The Old Devils: Love, Lust And Litre Bottles, ARC, Tonight, 9 JO Sir Kingsley Amis won a Booker Prize for his delightfully funny novel. The Old Devils, now a three-part television series, produced by the BBC.

The setting is Wales, where the "old devils" of the title live as pensioners. Students together in the 1950s, their days Neighbours, Channel 10, 6.30pm Monday to Friday On Channel 9, it's sex at 9.30pm. On Channel 10 it's teenage sex at 6.30pm. In episodes to screen on Channel 10 this week. Debbie (Marnie-Reece Wilmore) and Dick (Dan Falzon), who are both still school students, lose their virginity together.
