Virginia Buchanan was named chairman of the float decoration for the Timber Carnival parade with Maxine Van Natta as co-chairman. Gertrude Dull gave a report on the club's project of calling on newcomers in Albany. The contest which the is conducting among its members is to be extended another month with the losing team giving the winning team a picnic in August.

Sahlstrom announced that the club would offer transportation for those wishing to vote on the question of a public kindergarten, Monday, June 19. Also the club will have baby sitter service at the Girl Scout cabin for anyone desiring, to leave their children going to vote. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Betty Belt, Betty Hesler and Mrs. Carl Stanley.

Little Miss Jeanine Knight, sister of the bride, was flower girl, dressed in a gown similar to that of the bride, and also wearing crocheted cap and mitts. Master Cecil Nash was the ring bearer. Best man for his. brother was Jack McReynolds. Ushers were George Chambers and Bob Ralston.

Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. George Chambers, Miss Wilma Cosler and Miss Adeline Ehrlich, dressed in green and cream colored choir robes, lit the candles. Mrs. Elmer er Clum played the piano accompaniment for Jean Lawrence of Portland, violinist, who played "Because." The bride's mother arrived in rose figured organdy dress with white accessories, and a corsage of yellow rosebuds. Mrs.

McReynolds, mother of the bridegroom, wore a pink linen dress with white accessories and a corsage similar to that of the bride's mother. The church, housing more than 200 guests, was decorated with three large bouquets of pink and white gladioli, tied with white satin ribbon, and two candelabrums. A reception was held in the 'reception hall of the church 1 following the ceremony with more than 200 guests attending. The hall was decorated with bouquets of gladioli and delphiniums. The bride's cake, surrounded white streamers intermingled with white carnations, centered the wedding table covered by white linen cloth.

The punch service and candelabrums were on either side. Mrs. C. O. Anderson of Portland presided at the coffee urn.

Theodore Creighton, Saturday afternoon, June 10, in setting of gay circus decorations. Each little guest was given a balloon at the close of the afternoon. Richard Hickie of Liverpool, England, which took place Sunday night, June 11, in Santa Barbara in the presence of a few intimate friends of the couple. Mrs. Richardson, a member of the national board, gave a talk on the national defense. She recommended reading "Road Ahead" by John T. Flynn. Mrs.

Richardson also suggested the formation of classes for the study of national defense, and for safeguarding the American standards. She emphasized the danger of world government--which could affect the sovereignty of the United States. She also mentioned the importance of the Hoover report. A program details of ways for individuals to raise money for the new brick building and landscaping along the Willamette river at Champoeg National park were given by Mrs. Richardson.

Members are asked to solicit funds for memorial rooms, windows, doors and gifts of honor in the new, building. Seven members of Linn chapter attended the state board meeting and luncheon at Champoeg, June 14. Mrs. Frank Zarones presented two musical selections, "Waltz," by Chopin and "Kiss In the Dark." Garden Club Members Meet At Scout Cabin The Albany Women's Garden club members were guests June 8 at a 2 o'clock luncheon dessert of the club-sponsored girl scout troop in the Girl Scout cabin. The troop presented a program consisting of a farce based on radio quiz programs. The business session was presided over by Mrs. Ralph Knotts.

Mrs. R. L. Burkhart gave a report on the Friends of the Library and told of the new assistant at the library, Mrs. Bellinger, who is in charge of the children's department and the daily story hour.

Mrs. Carl Lucht told of the work being done by Mrs. Walter Reeser in planting flowers around the new fire hall. Mrs. Fred Hensolt, chairman of horticulture, gave details on a new book on Chinese garden's, by Kuch, now available in the library.

Committee for the cooked food sale June 10 was Mrs. R. E. Fishman, Mrs. Robert Young and Mrs.

Mar rue. Proceeds are to go for the expenses of Mrs. Lucht, newly elected president, who is a delegate to the state garden convention at Klamath Falls, June 13 to 15. The next meeting will be held July 13. Program Presented.

At Harmony Meeting The Harmony club met at the home of Mrs. Eva Martin, Wednesday, June 14, for a covereddish luncheon at 1 o'clock. The table was decorated with bouquets of roses and carnations. After the luncheon the group visited and did fancy work. A program was presented, consisting of group singing, with Mrs.

Edna Geer accompanying at the piano, and a reading by Mrs. 0. B. Mills. Contests conducted were won by4 Mrs.

Alice Ames and Mrs. Nellie Emick. Shower For Mrs. Rhodes Follwoing RNA. Meeting Following, the regular meeting of the Royal Neighbors of America in the Knights of Pythias hall, June miscellaneous shower was held for Mrs.

Almeda Rhodes. Gifts were presented by the 31 members at the meeting. Refreshments were served following the shower by Mrs. Guy Adamson Mis. Irving Persons, Mrs.

Clinton Straney, Mrs. Joe Neely, Mrs. Melvin Kutsch, Mrs. Tigner, and Mrs. Orris Bowman, chairman.

Assists At Piano Recital and Yosemite the newlyweds will be at home in Los Angeles at 1976 Concordia Walk. The new Mrs. Wicks attended private schools in Liverpool and in 1941 joined the British army, serving in the anti-aircraft in England for three years. In 1944 she was sent overseas and served in Italy until after the war. Miss Craythorne- came to "the United States in 1947, residing in Los Angeles, where she is an account analyst in one of the larger banks.

Mr. Wicks graduated from the Willamette university law. school, cum laude. He is a member of Phi Delta Theta social fraternity, Order of the Coif, national legal honorary, and the Oregon and American bar associations. is now assistant professor.

She plans to enter Oregon State college in the fall. Mrs. Flynn New Member Of Westway Club Mrs. Frank Horsky and Mrs. Elmer Venable were to members of the Westway club Monday evening June 12, with 16 members in attendance.

Mrs. 'Ellen Flynn was accepted. as a new member. Contests were held with Mrs. Al Haas and Mrs.

J. G. Schrader winning prizes. Mrs. Flynn won the door prize.
