Featuring extravagant costumes, excellent music, incredible stage sets and some of the world's most unique speciality acts, this George ArnoldBill Moore masterpiece is destined for an enjoyably long and highly successful stay in the Hotel's beautiful showroom. There are two shows presented nightly a 8 p.m. dinner show from $14.50 per person and a 12 midnight cocktail show for $10.00 per person, which includes two drinks. For show reservations call 733-3333 to make sure you don't miss this fantastic yet affordable new show on your next visit to the "Star of the Strip," The Flamingo Hilton. i i Hilton Addition Topped Off Busy construction crews recently reached the 29th floor of the towering Las Vegas Hilton, topping off a 391-room addition to this already ultramodern hotel. When completed later this month, the added rooms will increase the number of rooms at the famous Hilton to 3,174, making it the largest hotel in the entire world. Remodeling is also underway inside the structure with the entire casino receiving an elegant new look as a result of the installation of rare Austrian Strauss crystal chandeliers. A new Keno Lounge and a vastly expanded front entrance are included in the plans. The all new Las Vegas Hilton will definitely be a sight to behold when you're in the "Entertainment Capital of the World," Las Vegas. rr J i juMat Lumd f JL -mu Cast from the "City Lites " show now at the Flamingo Hotel on the Las Vegas "Strip." Tony-Winning Play At Desert Inn The highly acclaimed "The Best Litle Whorehouse in Texas," is currently performing its outrageously funny story, songs and dances at the Desert Inn Country Club through December 19th. This celebrated slice of rowdy Texas folklore is loosely based on the events surrounding the closing of the oldest continually operating bordello in the Lone Star State as seen through the eyes of coauthors Larry L. King and Peter Masterson. The National Touring Company cast features recording artist June Terry as Miss Mona, the head of the "house." Television and stage veteran William Larsen stars as the bombastic, cussin' Sheriff Ed Earl Dodd, and show-stopping blues singer Jackie Teamer is featured as Jewel, the housekeeper. The zealous, wig-wearing TV crusader, Melvin P. Thorpe, is portrayed by motion and musical comedy personality Kevin Cooney. The Desert Inn offers this rip-roaring, raucus musical twice nightly (except Monday) at 8 p.m. and midnight For your fun-filled evening at this prize-winning play, call 733-4566 for reservations. , iltef Villi! i h-- Construction continues on the addition to the ' soon to be "largest hotel In the world," The Las Vegas Hilton. Manchester And Gatlin At Rivera One of the biggest drawing co-headliner attractions in the Rivera Hotel's family of superstar shows, Melissa Manchester and Larry Gatlin, return November 26th for a limited one-week engagement. They packed the famed Versailles Theatre to capacity the last time they played the Riv. The upcoming date will be Melissa's finale in the Versaille room since her long-term contract expires in December. She and the Rivera still remain on the friendliest of terms. Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers Band recently signed a lucrative new agreement with the hotel and figure prominently in the Riv's plans for 1982 and 1983. Melissa made her debut as a Rivera headline attraction at the hotel more than a year ago. Since this is her last appearance at the Riv, I'm sure she will be missed. Be sure to catch Melissa Manchester's final show at the Rivera Hotel in Las Vegas.
