An impressive line-up of talent and new and exciting special events will make the first RAMS Home Loans Carols in the Domain a concert to remember. The theme for this year's concert, Celebrating Life, is a again family entertainment and RAMS Home Loans Carols in the Domain provides the very highest standard entertainment absolutely free. The night will be hosted by Noni Hazlehurst and husband John Jarratt and feature popular performers who will entertain a capacity crowd of more than 100,000 and a television audience of more than 1.8 million. The line-up features, among others, Australian opera stars Ghillian Sullivan and Roger Lemke, Hugh Jackman, Monica Trapaga, Home Away stars and, especially for the children, The Wiggles and Disney Channel characters such as Mickey and Goofy.

As always, Santa will be the guest of honour on a magical night that brings the wonder of Christmas to life for children and adults alike. Catering to people of all ages, the event will be accessible to everyone through Channel Seven's telecast and on Radio 2UE from 8.30 pm. This is the second consecutive year The Sydney Morning Herald has been part of Carols in the Domain Zealand and South-East Asia. In the spirit of Christmas giving, all funds from the sale of candle bags will go to homeless children through the Salvation Army's OASIS Youth Support Network. Over the years the event has raised more than $1 million for the program. This year, organisers are hoping to better last year's $80,000.
