and Mrs. Harold Cromwell celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on Oct. 3. Mrs. Cromwell is the former Ann Tucker.

Broman owned Broman Oil and was a partner in Kansas Transport McPherson, until retirement. Hosts for the celebration were their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Janis) Selm, 512 Crestwood. The couple have two grandchildren.

Quilt conservation is workshop topic The Saline County Extension Service will sponsor a worshop on quilt conservation from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 9 in Room 109 of Government Center. Zoe Slinkman, extension cultural arts specialist with Kansas State University, will lead the workshop. She will discuss how to store both new and old quilts, how to clean quilts and will give hints for preserving various types of quilts.
