The body of Pauline Robin Burgette was found by her mother, Carole Burgette, 37, on the floor of a bedroom in their apartment at 1626 N. 26th Place Sunday afternoon. Detectives Harry Jen-nings and Joe North said an autopsy indicated the girl had been stabbed many times, and had been struck by a blunt object. There was no sign of forced entry in the apartment. Burgette told them she had gone visiting Friday but had made arrangements for her daughter to stay with friends. The girl never appeared! at the friends' home, the officers said. The girl was in the eighth grade at Creighton School, Jennings said. She had been dead for some time when her body was found and she may have been killed on Saturday, investigators noted.
