very large gathering of the fair sex all anxious to hear the truth ful statements from a business standpoint iroin a man who thinks before he speaks armers from a distance of ten miles brought their such representa tive Democrats as Hon Rowland Connor Hon 5V Burt Hon George Wea dock Hon red Potter ex Congressman Youmans Hon Marskey Hon George House 12 Beach A Gavit and James Kerr Chairman Durand delivered a brief but forcible prefatory speech couched in eloquent language that went home to his hearers He then gracefully in troduced Mr Uhl who covered the great is sues of the day in a masterly themselves Thomas spoke about thirty minutes Mr Burrows delivered his calamity speech He claimed that every panic that has extended in our country since its discovery by Christopher Columbus was due
