and Mrs. Henry Miller have announced the marriage of their daughter, Ernestine, to Noel Weaver of San Angelo. The wedding took place June 25 in San Angelo at the home of his parents in the presence of a few relatives. The bride was born and reared in Richland Springs. She operates a beauty shop in San Angelo.

The couple, after a wedding tour in South Texas and other points will return to their home in San Angelo. They stopped over for a few days visit here with her grandmother Mrs. Maybelle Miller. Her many friends here wish success in their wedded life. Maybelle had as her guests the past week Mr.

and Mrs. Noel AVeaver of San Angelo, Jake Miller of Caw, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Miller of Brady. ibhe accompanied her son Jake to Braiiy Friday where, she and Mrs.

Jessie Vardeman spent vthe day with the Joe Miller family. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Taylor of Lock- were, Saturday guests of his paf- nts, Mr. and 'Mrs.

C. Christian are sojourning in California with elatives. Misses Wanda Burnell Karnes of Lingo, N. and Benois Karnes of Goldthwaite are visiting with their uncle, J. B.

Stephens and Jas. F. Lercari and daughter, Cecelia Ann of California have returned to their respective homes in Esparto and Sacramento after a ten days' visit here with their parents, the Rev. and Mrs. W.

E. Brown. Sidney Burleson left this week for Braggs, N. where he will join the 36th division of the Field Artillery. Lathan Smith week for San Francisco where he will join tho Coast Artillery.

Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Duncan returned Wednesday from Troy anc Temple where they -visited with the lady's relatives.

T. C. Christian. Mrs. Jim Lewis and granddaughter, Miss Geraldine Lewis, have returned home after an extended visit in Clivis, N.

Leach, of Hall ranch have returned from Kansas City where they visited with Mr. Leach's relatives. His two daughters accompanied them home for a short' visit. Recent visitors at the J. C.

S. Class Luncheon LEROY WILKS DIES IN VET HOSPITAL MUSKOGEE, OKLA. Funeral Held Friday In Eules, Texas Mr. and Mrs. W.

G. Lindsey re- urned to San Saba, Sunday evening, rom Eules, Texas, where they had attended the funeral of their son- n-law, Mr. Leroy Wilks, the husband of their daughter, nee Alice Elizabeth Many in San Saba remember Mr Wilks who worked with Mr. Lindsey last winter, in constructing some houses here. 'The Wilks were here the last time, at Christmastide.

Mr. Wilks served in the last World AVar, being a buddy of Stoney Tay lor in that experience. He had been ill since Christmas or before and the last two months, he had been very ill and a patient in the Veterans' hospital in Muskogee, where he passed on, half-past ten o'clock, in the morning, July 3. Cancer of the stomach caused his death. The funeral was conducted in his old home town, Eules, Texas, Friday, July 5, at 4 p.m.

He is survived by his wife and three children, George, age 17, Erma Jo, 14, and Kenneth Earl, 11 years old. Erma Jo and Kenneth Earl returned with their grandparents, the Lindseys, Sunday, for avisit in San Saba. Sincere sympathy is extended the bereaved widow and her family of children by their many friends. Anderson returned from San Antonio the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Johnson have moved to San Saba. Little Miss La Verne Whitley went to San Saba last Wednesday and had Dr.

Pence remove her tonsils, from which she is convalescing nicely. Mr. "Griffith and family now occupy the DaVe Bolinger home. Mrs. Edward Brown is in bed most of the time with a sore leg.

Mr. and Mrs. Lucian Locker and children visited in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.

M. Locker, Tuesday night, also John Henry, Bessie 'Ann and Robert Locker McLean. Mrs. M. H.

Casey is on the sick were Sunday guests of A. P. Smith and wife. Pete Gentry, a 16 year old boy, filled the pulpit Sunday at the M. E.

church. Preaching a very interesting sermon. Mr. and Mrs. Proctor and family i of Shiloh attended church here Sunday.

AValter Coughran and wife from R. S. attended church here Sunday night. Operated Upon for Appendicitis Mrs. J.

C. AVacle was operated upon for appendicitis Friday in Brownwood at Memorial Hospital. She is convalescing nicely. Her baby girl and husband are 'Staying with the parents, Bob Cochran and wife at Locker. Hall has been ill and confined to his home for nearly two weeks but was some better Sunday.

A. B. Anderson and wife of Spring Creek made a trip to San Antonio Sunday. Mrs. Allie Edgell and niece, Miss Audrey Hall of Lphn, and little David Miller were visitors to San Saba last AVednesday.

Mrs. Marie Miller, who is visiting in the Spring Creek community, visited Mrs. Geo. Newby last Saturday. Bonnie Hayes of Algerita was in town the first of the week.

PERSONALS Miss Bessie Burgess of Cherokee has' returned home after a week's visit in San Saba as guest of Miss Florese Anderson. Miss Imogene Hall, who is in training for a nurse in Brady spending her two weeks' vacation on her father's ranch near Pontotoc. Mr. and Mrs. A.

B. Anderson from their place in the Spring Creek community, made a business trip to Ft. AVorth Saturday. Mr. and Mrs.

Howell Dufner of Pebbly Point were guests of her grandmother, Mrs. C. E. Anderson. Mr.

and Mrs. Fred Hall and sons, James and Raymond, and daughter, Norma visited Mr. Hall's brother, W. 0. Hall ond wife, also nephew and family, Ralph Hall and family of Lohn, Sunday.
