Singers try to raise $1 million SAN BERNARDINO As part of a concert tour to raise funds for African drought victims, the 40-member Continental Singers will appear at 7 p.m. Feb.

9 at Judson Baptist Church. The concert is one of 50 such appearances aimed at raising $1 million, a choir spokesman said. The money will be channeled through World Vision International, a Pasadena-based Christian relief agency involved in emergency feeding efforts in Ethiopia and other eastern African nations. An offering for Africa will be taken during the program, a church spokesman said. KIHS cuts hours ONTARIO In a move that may disappoint a few night owls, officials of the religious television station KIHS (Channel 46) have announced a cutback in the length of their broadcast day.

The Ontario-based station is broadcasting from 6 a.m. to midnight daily, a station spokesman said. Primarily directed at Roman Catholics, the station had been on the air 24 hours a day.
