Tbe report of the Board of Directors, to whom was referred the proposals or bids for printing the annual report of the' Secretary, was received and adopted. Y. Duncan. The proposition was for a pamphlet of sixty pages or more. After due deliberation the contract was awarded to C. Y.

Djncan, who was the lowest bidder. Tbe report of the committee on tbe invitation to become members of the National Board of Trade, which is to bold its first session in Phila delphia on the 8a1 of June, and to send delegates to the same, was received. Mr. J. J.

Porter, in behalf. of the committee, reported in favor of accepting the invitation, and moved that President Armstrong be appointed as one of the delegates. The "resolution was adopted, together with an amendment empowering the President to appoint the second delegate. The National Board of Trade, by its provisions, consists of one delegate from each incorporated Board of Trade or Chamber of Commerce throughout the country which shall join tbe association and agree to appoint such delegate. Any association having one hundred members Is entitled to two delegates, and if numbering five hundred members to three delegates.

After Borne discussion a special committee was appointed to solicit subscriptions to the daily Price Current which is now published by the printing house of German Bro also to urge upon merchants and business men generally, who are not members, to join the association. Porter, in furtherance of the late action of tbe board in reference to establishing a freight depot, and a line ot boats on tbe upper waters of the Tennessee, offered tbe following resolution, which was adopted: Resolved. That the committee annotated to wait upon the L. and N. K. R.
