George A. Kimball, assistant general freight agent of the Rock Island, has received a letter from the officers of the Galveston Grain and Export company, iu which they charge tlie railroad company with discrimination in the matter of freight rates, against Galveston, and in favor of Chicago. They claim the trade of Kansas and Oklahoma belongs to the south and would naturally go there but for the action of the railroads. The trouble originated over a grain shipment from Medford. to Chicago, which the Galveston people claim could have been made to the south at a much less expense and to as good a market.

The officers of the company threaten that unless such discriminations are stopped they will arouse the people of Kansas and Oklahoma and dire cousequences to the will follow. TRAIN SEIZED. Held Up by Tramps at Omaha, Nebraska. Omaha. Juh- 2S.

THE GOVERNOR OF ARIZONA Return of Hon. Myron H. Cord Last Night. Me- i ha Town Turn Out at Miatnlahtto Receive Him rrilnaa That Will Happan and Othar Th Intra That May Hbppen Taday.

Governor Myron H. McCord returned to his dominions last night. His reception must have been gratifying, for it was more demonstrative of welcome than any other Arizonan had ever enjoyed. This may be accounted for in part by the personal estimation in which he is held by a large majority of both the republicans and democrats of Phoenix, and in part because such a reception was a recognition of a splendid victory over unscrupulous enemies. The train which brought in the gov ernor and the escorting delegations was slightly ahead of time.

Notwithstanding the S. F. P. P. (pot was already crowded and the last rumble of the train was drowned in the crash of, "See, the Conquering Hero Comes," by the Capital City band.

On alighting from the train the governor shook hands with as many of his friends as possible, as he was hurried to a waiting carriage where lie was seated by the side of Acting Governor A (-.
