Sophomore quarterback Brian Linstrom would up with 1,598 passing yards, completing 119 passes. Sophomore linebacker Mark Arneson ended up atop the defensive statistics with 187 points on one interception, two fumbles recoveries, four tackles for losses, 41 unassisted tackles, one pass broken up and 76 assisted tackles. And senior tailback Ron Gardin finished first in rushing with 759 yards on 188 carries for a 4.0 average.

For the second year in a row junior Steve Hurley, the kicking specialist, was top scorer. He had 48 points and his eight field goals is a UA record. Another junior, Hal Arna-son, ended up No. 1 pass receiver with 30 catches for 489 yards. Seven UA receivers ended up in double figures.
