Wondering what ever happened to Nelson Sardelli, that gun-totin' lounge great. I say great, because he was one of the most entertaining performers working in our lounges in the 70s. In the late 70s and early 80s, we lost him to Atlantic City, where he was so popular he was named Entertainer of the Year several times. Previously, the show had housed at the off-Strip property for five profitable years. The Maxim decided to go a 'different route with their entertainment and Playboy's was The new policy, according to General Manger Larry Feil, leans more towards a small, early-hours comedy revue with later-evening lounge entertainment. Meanwhile Playboy's will get test run in the Terrace Room the Dunes from tonight through Feb. 15.

The Terrace Room is a small, second-floor mini-showroom at the Dunes which houses a buffet during the daytime hours. However, its excellent layout and neat little stage, replete with complete backstage areas, is perfect for such a little revue. Undaunted, Dorsey has booked a number of other top entertainers including Lace, Tammy Pemberton, Paul Chris-jtopher and a number of new-j comers who will take those vacated lounge weeks. The new Rio Hotel off the eastern portion of the Strip behind Caesars Palace, is off with a bang having booked Sergio Mendes in the main I convention room, and Sergio lAlberti in the-lounge.
