Cntrl mi By RUTH BRADLEY To many rlub members a in year project seems a bit loo long. But members of the Old Fashioned Garden Club have worked for 10 years on one project and they love it even more than when they started.

The group has done the landscaping of the Florence Crittenton Home as its project for civic brautification since Febraury, 1954. When the home was rebuilt in 1954 club members solicited nurseries for trees and shrubs. Then they undertook complete landscaping of the grounds, planted shrubs, lawn and flowers. Kach year since then members have had two workdays each year, in the spring and fall, when they meet at the home to prune, weed, plant and seed. Club funds are budgeted each car to cover expenses of new shrubs, winter yard and seedlings.

Individuals frequently provide shrubs and seedlings. Mrs. R. I. Turner has been the club's project chairman since 1956.

Mrs. Wayne Murray, state project chairman for the Arizona Federation cl Women's Clubs has proposed a plan of artion for all clubs tn the stale. Her idea Is to promote a permanent Moral Decency League for each city and town in Arizona.

She has detailed the plan for action and has mailed copies of "how-to" organize and promote such a league to every club president. The chairman travels to clubs throughout the state speaking on this state project of moral decency. The basic plan includes every community.

Mrs. Murray says, "Some of you who live in the less populated areas of Arizona arc going tn think this does not apply to you. However, if there is one store that sells magazines, one theater, one child who has been molested, a school, legislators, post office, newspaper, then all of this applies to your particular area." Junior clubs in all areas have been asked to organize meetings with other civic clubs and arrange programs for the Moral Decency League. Mrs. Murray, a member of the Scottsdale Junior Woman's Club, organized the project several years ago in her own group.

Scottsdale Juniors began the campaign in 'heir area and then gained support of the state junior organization.
