Democrat," died in her home here Monday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Johnson Mortuary. Lt. Comm.

Robert L. Bigler. U.S. Velasquez Services Tomorrow Rosary for Miguel Chavez Velasquez 75 will be recited at 8 p.m. today in Whitney and Murphy Chapel, 330 N.

Second Ave. Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. tomorrow in Immaculate Heart Church, 909 E. Washington. Burial will be in St.

Francis Cemetery. Mr. Velasquez, 2112 E. Roosevelt, was a musician. Born in Tucson, he moved to Phoenix in 1921.

He was a former leader and organizer of Los Carritos Alegres, and was a member of Immaculate arand Church Holy Name Society Alianza Hispano Americana. He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe; a son, Mike four daughters, Mrs. Amelia Galbraith, Mrs. Herlinda Mendivil. Mrs.

Lupita Clark; a sister, Mrs. Josefa Olea, all of Phoenix: and 11 grandchildren. C. R. Lewis Rites Set Funeral services for Charles R.

Lewis, 41, Tolleson elementary schoolteacher who died Monday in Phoenix, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the den Chapel of M. L. Gibbons Mortuary in Mesa. The Rev.

Willis K. Hirschy of the Faith Assembly of God Church, Phoenix, will officiate. Burial will be in Mesa Cemetery. Born in Grove City, he came to Arizona 27 years ago. He was graduated from Mesa High School and from Arizona State University in 1957.

He was a veteran of the Navy in World War II, he was a 1 member of the Faith Assembly of God Church, Phoenix. His home was 3307 W. Glendale, Phoenix. His wife Jerry. and his mother, Mrs.

Lillie Lewis, and a stepson, James Armstrong, both of Phoenix, survive. Mary F. Schuck FLAGSTAFF Funeral rites will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow for Mrs. Mary F.

Schuck, 81, who died in her home here Tuesday. The Rev. Waldo Richards will officiate at the services in the Federated Community Church. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery. Mrs.

Schuck was born in Pittsburgh, Mo. She and her husband came to Flagstaff in 1926. They later moved to Holbrook where he was Navajo County recorder. They returned to Flagstaff in 1957. A member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mrs.

Schuck also was a member of the Federated Community Church. Her husband, P. a son, Thomas R. and a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Young, all of Flagstaff; and four grandchildren survive.

Friends may call at Ganley and Sons Mortuary from 5 to 9:30 p.m. today. Bessie Lewis Services for Mrs. Bessie Lewis, 69, a member of the New Home Baptist Church, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Ragsdale Mortuary, 1100 E.

Jefferson. The Rev. Antonio Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. Mrs.

Lewis died Tuesday in her home at 1508 W. Yuma. Born in Leonard. she moved to Phoenix in 1937 from Childress. Tex." A sister, Mrs.

Bobbie Baldwin of Phoenix, survives. Friends may call at the mortuary after 10 a.m. tomorrow. Philip Birnbaum Services for Philip Birnbaum, 68, of 816 W. Georgia, were conducted yesterday in Grimshaw Mortuary.

Mr. Birnbaum died Tuesday In Good Samaritan Hospital. He owned a stationery store in New York City before moving to Phoenix in 1955. He was born in Russia. Surviving are his wife, Lillian; two daughters.

Mrs. Mildred Layman and Mrs. Edith Packman, both of Phoenix: and six grandchildren. Burial was in Beth Cemetery SINCE 1872.. TOP QUALITY MERCHANDISE AT WARDS LOW PRICES! Navy chaplain at the Marine Corps Air Station, will be assisted by Yuma Chapter 14, Order of the Eastern Star, in the rites.

Private interment services will be held in Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Odle devoted much of her time to political activities. She was also active in most community events and women's service organizations. Two married daughters in Yuma, a son in California, two sisters, both out of state, survive.

The family has requested that donations be made to the Yuma County Crippled Children's Society or the Yuma County Nursing Home. Jose N. Galvan services for Jose N. Galvan, 26, will be held at 9 p.m. today in Grimshaw Mortuary, 334 W.

Monroe, with memorial services conducted at 9 a.m. tomorrow in the mortuary. Mr. Galvan died Saturday while serving in the Army at Ft. Sam Houston, Tex.

Born in Taft, he moved to Avondale in 1940. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nieves Galvan: three sisters, Eva Phoenix, Mrs. Antonia Lopez of Mendota, Calif, and Mrs.

Aurora Silva of Avondale; and three brothers, Paul Galvan of Avondale, John Sandoval of Phoenix, and Paul Sandoval of El Mirage. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. Pleas D. Hamilton -Services for the Rev. Pleas D.

Hamilton, 83, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Calvary Baptist Church here by the Rev. E. D. Hankins.

Mr. Hamilton died Saturday in his home at 408 N. Pasadena. He was ordained in 1936 and moved to Florence in 1937 from Okmulgee, Okla. Born in Baton Rouge, he moved to Mesa in 1962.

His wife, DeEller; two sons, Ernest of Tucson and Carl of Marana; and six grandchildren survive. Friends may call at Ragsdale Mortuary, 1100 E. Jefferson, Phoenix after 10 a.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Mesa Cemetery.

William E. Burruss YOUNGTOWN Graveside services for William E. Burruss, 71, will be conducted at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Resthaven Park at Glendale, with the Rev. Morris G.

E. Morgan officiating. Burruss, a resident of Youngtown until 14 months ago, died Friday in Orofino, Idaho. He had been a street car conductor. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Seattle, and was a veteran of World War I.

He was born in Rover, Ark. A niece, Mrs. Edith Crider of Worley, Idaho, survives. Friends may call at Lundberg's Golden Door Chapel in Youngtown from 2 to 9 p.m. today.

Pliny C. Davis SCOTTSDALE-Pliny Calvin Davis, 69, who lived at 7754 E. Verde Lane, Scottsdale, died Sunday in the Veterans Administration Hospital at Ft. Whipple, Prescott." Mr. Davis was born in lowa.

A retired railway postal clerk, he came to Arizona in 1960 from Minneapolis. Funeral services will be held in Minneapolis. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Fort Snelling, Minn. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife.

Roy Bancroft will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. Mr. Ledger, 2926 N. Third died Tuesday in a Phoenix hospital.
