Windsor are in cluded in a list of new king's counsel appointed last Monday by Sir Oliver Mowat lieutenant governor of Ontario The appointment of these two mem bers of the 'Windsor bar is a very popular one with the entire legal pro fession in the city and elsewhere where they are known Mr Clarke has been a practicing barrister in Es sex county for a number of years and has attained an enviable record in the courts both as crown prosecutor and as counsel in civil cases particularly in drainage suits with which he has been at various times connected ever since he located InEssex county He has been county crown attorney for a number of years and also clerk 01 the peace and there is not a more popular lawyer in the county to day than Mr Clarke Cowan the other lucky one is a
