(AP) Actress Marilyn Maxwell was found dead in her home yesterday of what authorities said apparently was a heart attack. She was 49. A police spokesman said Miss Maxwell's physician had been treating the blonde entertainer for high blood pressure and pulmonary disease. The spokesman said Miss Maxwell's body was found by her 15-year-oM son, Matthew, when he came home from school.

She and her son had lived alone in their duplex home since her 19G0 divorce from producer Jerry Davis. Miss Maxwell, who began her career as a singer with the Buddy Rogers and Ted Weems orchestras, was a film and television actress whose screen credits Included "Champion," "Du Barry Was a Lady," "Lemon Drop Kid" and "East of Sumatra." She appeared on the Bob Hope Show and the George Gobel Show on television. After an early career as a dancer and singer, she joined the Pasadena Playhouse and made her screen debut with Robert Taylor in "Stand By for Action" in 1942. Miss Maxwell, born inCla-rinda, Iowa, was married previously to actor John Conte and restaurateur Andy Mclntyre. lu.
