She was born in Obituaries Roland Cate; Was Honored As Philatelist J. E. Suffolk, 61, Dies; O'Malley Plant Head for James Edward Suffolk, 61, Funeral rites have been set who retired as manager in 1960 Glass and Mill Work here. He bought a business in Durango, in 1960. He died there Roanoke, Ind.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today in Grimshaw Mortuary, 334 W. Monroe. Another son, Louis F. Bunte of Virginia Beach, a brother, Harry Allerton of Fort Wayne, and two grandchildren survive.

Albert G. Herkert Rosary for Albert G. Herkert, 55, who died Wednesday in St. Joseph's Hospital, will be re cited at 8:30 p.m. today Whitney and Murphy Chapel, 330 N.

Second Ave. Requiem High Mass will be sung at 10 a.m. tomorrow in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4510 N. 24th St.

Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Mr. Herkert, 1707 E. Whitton, was a protessional kennel master.

He moved to Phoenix 23 years ago from Maspeth, N.Y. He was born in New York. He was a member of the Sa- huaro Dog Club, the Poodle Club, and vice president of the Chihuahua Club. Surviving are his wife, Mar garet; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Brosius of Wyoming; a brother, Henry Albrecht of New York, and a granddaughter, Mary Taylor of Phoenix.

Jean 31. Kyhn MESA-Jean M. Kvhn. 81. a retired construction painter, died Wednesday in the home of nis son Jean at 8142 E.

Third Ave. Mr. Kyhn was born in Copen hagen and moved to Mesa 16 months ago from Troy, N.Y. Other survivors are his sons Albert of Utica, N.Y., and Ed win of Troy, and five grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m.

today in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 E. Apache Trail. The Rev. Deo R. Hendricks of the Apache Junction Baptist Church will officiate.

Desert View Chapel made arrangements. Burrel L. Preston isurrei Lee ireston, 44. an aircraft sheet metal worker at Luke Air Force Base, died Wednesday in Phoenix Veterans Administration Hospital. He had served in the Air Force during World War II.

Mr. Preston, 4014 N. 32nd Place, moved to Phoenix in WICKENBURG -Funeral services for Roland VVentworth Cate, who died Wednesday in Wickenburg Community Hospital, will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in the Wickenburg Funeral Home. The Rev.

Dan Gerrard of St. Alban's Episcopal Church will officiate. Cremation will follow in Phoenix. Born in Wakefield, Mr. Cate moved to Wickenburg 11 years ago from Whittier, Calif.

He had lived in Whittier for 20 years. He was a real estate broker with the Ben Pollman Agency in Wickenburg. A VETERAN of World War i Mr. Cate was a graduate of UCLA. He was a member of the Wickenburg Rotary Club, the Elks Lodge, the Duplicate Bridge Club, and a life member of the Phoenix Philatelic Association.

He recently received a citation to the Arizona Hall of Fame of Philately, one of only 18 persons to be awarded this honor. In addition to being an avid stamp collector, he made a map of territorial Arizona showing all of the old post offices. Last October he attended the 21st annual Stamp Exhibition Convention in Los Angeles where he received second prize in the championship class for his Arizona territorial covers. Survivors include his wife, Nellie Weston Cate; a brother, Crawford Cate of Beverly Hills, and sister, Mrs. Raymond Elliott of Huntington Beach, Calif.

Theresia Roer Rosary for Mrs. Theresia A. Roer, 71, who died Wednesday in St. Joseph's Hospital, will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in Whitney and Murphy Chapel, 330 N.

Second Ave. Requiem Mass will be sung at 9:15 a.m. tomorrow in Sts. Simon and Jude Church, 6351 N. 27th Ave.

Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Mrs. Roer, 2609 W. McLellan, moved to Phoenix 48 years ago and farmed at this address.

Born in Illinois, she came here from Kansas. She was a mem ber of the Ladies Sodality at Sts. Simon and Jude Church. Surviving are five sons, Bernard and Joseph of Phoenix, William of Buckeye, and John and Robert of RJythe, five daughters, Mrs. Therese Murphy and Mrs.

Dorothy Bal- ough, both of Phoenix, Mrs. Ber tha Ewers of Tucson, Mrs. Ann Fay of Yuma, and Mrs. Mary Harms of Lamar, two brothers, Joseph Dorenkamp of Holly, and John Doren kamp of Selden, a sister, Sister Mary Bertha of the Sis ters of St. Joseph, Concordia, Kan.

and 39 grandchildren. Mary Beard Mrs. Mary I. Beard, 73, a resident of Phoenix 20 years, died yesterday in a Phoenix hospital. Mrs.

Beard, 9810 N. Third moved to Phoenix from St. Louis, Mo. She was born in Farmmgton. Mo.

bhe was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. Services will be at 10 a.m tomorrow in Mercer Mortuary, 1541 E. Thomas. Friends may call at the mortuary after p.m. today.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alice Hall and Mrs. ti.u Hunt, and a son, Samuel, all of Phoenix; two sisters, Mrs. H.H Hamilton of Kingman, Kan. and Mrs.

Nan Johnson of St. Louis; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. 9 p.m. today. Mr.

Williams was born in Missouri Valley, Iowa. He came to Arizona in 1918 to farm in the Phoenix, Gilbert and Chand ler areas. He moved to Chandler in 1933, and until his retirement operated a ranch 9 miles south east of Chandler. He was a past director of the Roosevelt Water Conservation District at Higley, and long was active in Arizona reclamation matters. He was a charter member and elder of the Chan dler Church of Christ for 25 years.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, A. C. of Prescott and Gerald of Mari copa; two daughters, Mrs. June Coyle of Chandler and Mrs. Jo Strieker of Colorado Springs, Colo; two brothers, W.

C. of Mesa and Bryan of Clinton, four sisters, Mrs. C. M. Kimmel of Parker; Mrs.

Lillie Bean of Gila Bend; Mrs. Amy Jackson of Mesa; and Mrs Mamie McNabb of Wichita, Kan. Eleven grandchildren also survive. Miguel P. Ybarra MESA Rosary for Miguel P.

Mr. Rhodes died Wednesday the San Manuel Hospital Born in Mesa, Mr. Rhodes lived in Hayden for many years before moving to Tucson 10 years ago. He was a rancher. Survivors include two brothers, John and Billy of Tuc son; five sisters, Mrs.

Ella Rob ertson of Tucson, Mrs. Alma Mognett of Casa Grande, Mrs. Mary Ducock of Los Angeles, Mrs. Bertha Acton of Phoenix, and Mrs. Clara Acton of Kearny; two daughters, Mrs.

June Benedict of San Manuel and Mrs. Olamae Bivin of San Marcos, one son, Charles A. of Hayden; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. James T. Antie James T.

Antie, 29, a staff sergeant who retired from the Air Force because of his health, died Wednesday in Luke AFB Hospital. Mr. Antie, 5742 N. 32nd had served in the Air Force 11 years before retiring in August. He was born in Rosa, La.

He was graduated from high school at Port Barre, La. Mr. Antie was stationed seven years at Luke AFB and three years in Germany. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Lundberg's Chapel of Chimes, 5852 W.

Glenn Drive, Glendale. Chaplain Paul H. Pike will officiate. Military rites will be at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale. Friends may call at the mortuary from 4 to 7 p.m.

Aurora Martinez, 79, at 10 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Harry Morgan will officiate.

Burial will be in Williams Cemetery. Mrs. Martinez died in her home Tuesday night of a heart attack. Born in Cubero, N.M., Mrs. Martinez moved to Williams 50 years ago.

She is survived by two sons, Paul of Williams and Santos of Stockton, two daughters, Mary Martinez of Williams and Mrs. Mike Martinez of San Fran cisco; one brother living in Los Angeles, and eight grandchil dren. The Lewallen Funeral Home is in charge of the services. Emily M. Haverstock PRESCOTT Funeral services for Mrs.

Emily M. Haverstock, 85, who died Tuesday in Yava pai Community Hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. today in the Ruffner Funeral Home. The Rev. Canon David C.

Trimble of St. Luke's Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be in Chicago. Mrs. Haverstock was born in Bayonne, N.J., and came to Prescott a year ago.

She lived with her son, Dr. Richard T. Haverstock. Survivors include a second son, Gordon K. Haverstock of Chicago.

Miller died yesterday in the Safford Inn Hospital follow ing an illness of several weeks. Born in Weed, N.M., he first came to Arizona in 1917, left, and returned to Clifton in 1952, moving to Thatcher two years ago. Mr. Miller worked for seven years for the Greenlee County highway department in Clifton, He worked as a rancher and cowboy most of his life. A ranch he owned is now part of the White Sands Proving Grounds in New Mexico.

Survivors include his wife Ag nes of Thatcher; one son, J. D. of Morenci; one daughter, Eve- yn of Pmon, N.M.; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Nelson of Hobbs, N.M., and Mrs. Mary Nelson of Napa, five grandchil dren, and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests donations to the cancer fund rather than send flowers. Friends may call at the Cald well Funeral Home today from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Louis G. Camargo Rosary for Louis G.

Camargo, 31, who died in a Phoenix hos pital yesterday after a long illness, will be said at 8 p.m. Sunday in Mortensen-Kings Funeral Center, 1020 W. Washington. Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. Monday in Im maculate Heart Church, 909 Washington.

Burial will be in St Francis Cemetery. Mr. Camargo. 2030 N. 31st was born in Phoenix.

He was an optical tecnnician lor the American Optical Co. Surviving are his wife, Erma; two daughters, Lucy and Lo- retta; a son, Louis his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. John Camargo, and a brother, John all of Phoenix. Marie Webb Services for Marie Adel Webb, the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Jerry Webb of Phoenix and Ft. Riley, will be at 3 p.m. today in A.L. Moore and Sons Mortuary, 333 W.

Adams. The child died Monday of pneumonia in Ogden, Kan. She was born in it. Eustis, va. Her father is in the Army.

Surviving in addition to the parents, are her grandparents, Mrs. Marie Webb of Casa Grande, Paul Webb of Chand ler, and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Mancollas of Phoenix. Interment will be in Green wood Memorial Park.

Empey, 87, who was born at Florence and retired as a clerk for the Phoenix Flour Mill at Tempe in 1939, died yesterday in Georgian Court Nursing Home in Phoe nix. Mr. Empey, 611 Maple was a guest in the nursing home since 1963. He had been a clerk for the Birchett Grocery Store at Tempe in the late 1800s. The store later was named the Baber-Jones Store, Mr.

Empey lived in Van Nuys, from 1939 to 1958, when he moved back to Tempe. He attended the old Tempe Normal School three years, belonged to the Arizona National Guard for 10 years, and was a member of the Tempe First Congrega tional Church. He married Mary McNulty, who taught at the Payne Train mg bchool on the campus of Arizona State University. She died in 1957 in California. Surviving are three nieces, Mrs.

Dorothy J. Fisher and Mrs. Miriam Ward, both of Tempe, and Mrs. Janet L. Green of Long Beach, and six great-nieces and great-nephews in Arizona and California.
