Daily Gazette, Saturday. May 14, 1966 Carol Hershberger Weds at St Williams Church Photo MRS. BARRY THOMPSON At a Mass in St. William's Church, Carol Lynn Hershberger and Barry John Thompson repeated marriage vows after the Rev. John Dowd at 11:15 this morning.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hershberger, 1420 Mole and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Thompson, 7910 N.

Ruth Road, Minden City, Mich. A sheath front and peacock back sweep detailed the bride's peau de soie dress. The empire line and bell sleeves were embellished with re-embroidered alencon lace. A watteau train fell from the shoulders. Her French illusion veil was fastened to a Dior bow touched with lace and pearls.

The bride carried a cascade arrangement of white roses and violets. Christine Doll, Burch Run, was honor attendant and Judy Johnson, Lake Geneva, bridesmaid. They wore powder blue nylon sheer dresses with bell skirt and back panel. Venise lace accented the waist and edged the sleeves. Sheer petals held their jet veils.

White carnations and blue daisies were in the attendants' bouquets. Best man was Richard Arrowood, Beloit; ushers, Gerald and Mark Hershberger, the bride 's brothers, and Kenneth Hershberger, her cousin. A family dinner was served at the Hershberger home and a reception for 200 will be held this evening at Cordovan Inn. After a Northern Illinois honeymoon, the couple will be at home at 203 Washington Janesville. The bride, a 1965 Janesville High School graduate, is a secretary at Wolohan Lumber Co.

Her husband, a 1964 graduate of the high school in Deckerville, is a mechanic in Janesville. Hosts at the rehearsal dinner last night at Guzman's Supper Club were the bridegroom's parents. Knights Install Oliver Webb Oliver Webb, 920 St. Mary's was installed as commander elect of Janesville Command- cry No. 2, Knights Templar, in ceremonies in the Masonic Temple Thursday.

Other officers nstalled were James Brereton, gene ralissimo; Marston Schieb captain general; Keith Oliver Webb nover and Gilbert Truesdale, senior and junior wardens; Wayne Richardson, warder; John Pollack, sword bearer; Demar Cox, standard bearer; Willard Larsen, sentinal; Victor Langer, recorder; John Curtis, treasurer; and Edmond Smyth, prelate. Frank Scidmore, Robert Took and Thomas Mowry were installing officers. The organization's auxiliary served the potluck supper at which Allen Baumgartner, who received the Order of Temple, and Mrs. Baumgartner were guests of honor. Members will hold their last meeting in the old temple June 9, with a potluck supper served at 6:30 p.m.

Summer activities will include a picnic July 14 and York Rite picnic Aug. 11. Holiday Inn Dancers Will Conclude Season Holiday Inn Dancers held their annual dinner-dance at Holiday Inn and elected the following officers: Jerry and Jan Moede, president; Dr.

Edwin and Dot McNichols, vice president; Bernie and Ruth Zeaman, secretary; Virgil and Pat Wallen, treasurer. A summer dance will be held Aug. 27. Demonstrate Art at Washington School Miss Barbara Jones, elementary art supervisor will give the program at the Washington PTA meeting Tuesday night. From 7:15 to 8 o'clock children wil give an art demonstration in the school halls.

Johns Event Attracts 235 Two hundred thirty-five attended the first Mother-Daughter dinner held in the new church of St. John's Lutheran congregation. Men of the church served the dinner. Mrs. Harold Kliefoth presided.

The welcome was given by Mrs. Claude Griffith. A puppet show was put on by Mrs. Richard Larson. Prizes were awarded to Mrs.

John Buehl and Mrs. Edward Albrecht, most daughters; Mrs. Ben Wollin and Mrs. Edward Nyman, oldest mothers. Lincoln Pupils To Give Program Several groups at Lincoln School will present a musical program for the Parent-Teachers Tuesday evening.

Roy Geidel will direct Lincoln Orchestra; Donald Burton, the Fourth Grade Choir; Mrs. Marie Nolan the Second Grade Rhythm Band and Mrs. Pauline Veach, fourth grade dancers. Officers will be installed ar.d refreshments served. The PTA board meets at 7 o'clock.

List Three Events for Roosevelt Cubs Lt. Les Braun of the Janesville Fire Department demonstrated mouth to mouth resuscitation for the cubs and parents of Pack 409, Roosevelt School at the May meeting. He also urged the cubs to be careful in crossing streets in order to avoid accidents. Coming events, to wliich cubs and parents may look forward are Scout-O-Rama, next Saturday; Pack picnic at 6 p.m. June 9 in Palmer Park; and the Pack outing June 4th, a trip to the Circus World Museum at Baraboo.

Advancement awards were received by Andy Alff, Ted Overton, David Kummer, Dick Davis, David Natter, Tom Fisher and Tom Arn. Tom Fisher and Kevin Nash, former Webelos, were welcomed into scouting by the scoutsmas- ters. Mothers of the former cubs were given the cub neckerchiefs AS mementoes. Librarian To Speak at AAUW Study Group Mrs. Walter Mih, circulation libraran at the Janesville Public Library, will present the program for the AAUW world problems study group at 9:30 a.m.

Tuesday in the home of Mrs. Robert Knutson, 877 Glen St. Mrs. Mih lived on the mainland of China until 1950 when she located in Formosa. In 1957 she was graduated from National Taiwan University.
