I doubt that either extreme is practical and I hope that in the last JVIonday. We heard from the five national or general farm organizations of the United States. Agriculture is still the largest business in the United States.

In my opinion it cannot continue to take losses without a great many other pec-ple feeling the ill effects. I am afraid that this is one of our i basic problems righ.t now. So many of our p-eople are now employed in urban industries that they do not realize that they, too, are dependent upon a healthy agriculture. For instance, the second and fiftli largest employers of people in the United States are the textile industry and the food processing industry. Both are directly dependent upon agriculture so even though you may not be able to see any connection between your job and the farmer, it is very probable that you would be out of a job were our farmers to all quit work.

And they can't be expected to continue to work unless they can make an income somewhat comparable to, even though somewhat less than, their city neighbors. A Large part of our correspondence this last -week has been concerned with tJie so-called "civil rights" bill recently passed by the Senate. Thus is the same bill which was passed by the House last year Senate amendments have made it a good deal more severe. It takes from the of real estate (except in a very few restricted cases) the right to determine to whom he can sell his property. It does this on the theory that any citizen should have the right to buy property as one of his so-called "civil rights." I find, no criticism with assuring every citizen the right to buy any real estate he can pay for deed a civil right and should be protected, but by the same token I think that the owner of a home or any other real property has the same right to sell or refuse to sell to whom he wants to and for any reason he wants.

As I see it, this is also a civil right and I believe in protecting the civil rights of all of oar people, not just a part of them. When this bill was before the House last year I voted against it. I expect to do so again when the Senate version comes before us. The Easy Paint for Woodwork! A superb enamel that dries in minutes to a lovely satin sheen. If you are planning to use an interstate highway soon, here are a few facts thart might help. The two-digit, odd-numbered routes indicate noirtlh and south. The two-digit, even-numbered routes mean east or west.

Three digit routes are coded, too. If the first digit is even, the road is a beltline or loop around a city. If the first digit is odd, it goes into the city. Know your routes because if you miss your exit you must go on to the next exit. There are no U-turns on the interstate highway and you must not stop!
