GUILTY Wm Henshaw "Ton vic ted of Bobbins 3111 ton Butler The trial of Wm Henshaw alias MiHer on a charge of robbing Milton Butler at toe Woodward avenue railroad crossing in K31 occurred in the Court yesterday and was very interesting on account of the 1 diversity of toe opinions of witnesses The prisoner was defended by Henry Brevoort and Reilly while Prosecuting Attorney Caplis and Assistant Robison appeared for the people The testimony showed that five 'menwere concerned in the robbery although Mr Butler could not positively identify the prisoner as one of them' Other witnesses however posi tively identifid hinx The defense placed ex Detective McGuire on the stand who testified that the prisoner was not Henshaw and that he and MiBerwere dif ferent persons The witness claimed to know Henshaw and had seen him on several qcco sions Officer Robert McDonald 'testified that the prisoner had toldl him in a conversation while ha was being brought down from jail in 1 company with four others that he (McDonald) was not the officer who brought him down when he was first arrested The prosecution claimed that this admission: from toe defend ant showed conclusively that ha was the man The jury were out about an hour and re turned a verdict of guilty The prisoner was remanded for sentence The prosecution discovered new evidence in the case when it was too late however show ing that Henshaw knows of the robbery and that at the County Jail he manifested a desire to have the case settled and made astrong effort this direction The KZ About 100 persons went to Chicago yesterday on
