The construction work is presently under way by Vernon Harmon Construction general contractor. Weaver and Drover, architects, prepared plans for the new development a well as the master plan for campus development, of which these are a part.

The men's dormitory is the first phase of what eventually will become a dormitory quadrangle. A similar one for women is in the master plan. The building has a reinforced concrete frame, with walls of wire-cut brick. It will house 64 men and the resident supervisor. This building will have a lounge, guest room and laundry facilities for student use.

Post-tensioned concrete will be used for the roof of the classroom building. The Sunday School wing, on the Third Avenue face of the church, is 128 feet in length. Between this wing and the church auditorium, the nursery and administrative offices will face on Bethany Home. The readers, soloist and organist rooms are to the east of the auditorium on the Bethany Home side.

The floors are two-level. The large volume of the auditorium is emphasized by carrying its walls 26 feet above the ground level. The lower wall section of the north and south sides of the auditorium are entirely glass. Through this worshipers will see enclosed garden courts, extending the full length of the auditorium wing. Parking facilities are on the north portion of the church property, with entrance off Third Avenue.
