THE company is the wholesale outlet for General Electric and Hot Point appliances and General Electric electrical supplies. Statewide operations of the company will be carried on through the new Phoenix office and warehouse and a branch in Tucson.

The company now operates under the supervision of the Denver division of General Electric. It was previously affiliated with the Los Angeles division. R. P. Porter, manager of the Phoenix branch, said the operation here is the largest of its kind in the General Electric system.

Until the company moved to its new location about a month ago, i4u Explorers Hall, Washington, D.C. Grand prize winners in the Republic's snapshot contest were Buddy Wheeler, whose snapshot won the babies and children classification, and Debs Met-Jsong of Phoenix, who won four weekly prizes in addition to the grand prize of $25 in the activities classification. Other winners were Thomas Roberson of Tempe, who took top honors in the still life category, and Agnes Hoist of Phoenix whose dog picture won the grand award In the animal classification. In the national competition there will be four $1,000 grand prizes, four $300 second prizes, four $150 third prizes, 68 special merit awards of $50 each, and every photograph entered will bring a $25 prize. The Republic's Snapshot Contest which ended last August drew 1,200 entries.

The names of the national winners should be known by the middle of this week. with 15,000 square feet, intended for use if the present plant is to be enlarged.
