Hubbard was born in Newton County, Mo. and came to New Mexico when she was five years old. She graduated from Ft. Sumner High School, went NMSU for four years, did graduate work at Ft. Collins, Texas Tech.

NMSU, ENMU and UNM at Albuquerque. Mrs. Hubbard has been a teacher at Deming High School for 16 vears. Her students say that she is the only one who remembers such minor details that there is ice for tea and potatoes for the potato salad. Mrs.
