"The Nile" an exhibit of 110 photographs by Eliot Elisofon, Life photographer, are on view through June 15 in the African Room. The photographic exhibit, on loan from the Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C., depicts the land of the Nile. Museum hours are 10 to 5 Tuesday through Saturday, 1 to 5 Sundays. There is a gate donation of 25 cents for adults, 10 cents for children under 12.

Monle Vista Hd. Gilmore. a Phoenician presently affiliated with the Phoenix Title and Trust will speak about Northern Alaska and show slides that were taken when he was attached to the Kodiak Duly Station as a naval aviator. With the interest of a tourist he was able to capture in color slides, unusual shots of remote villages and vast wilderness areas.

Many are aerial photographs. Scenes include Northern Alaska winter and summer scenes in the Kodiak, Anchorage. Nome, Point Barrow, and Fairbanks areas, as well as ariou islands and remote areas. There will be scenes Barrow hie. Some show the phenomena of the midnight sun.
