The win tneir first in two home them a 2-2 season record, all in Middle Atlantic Conference play, while the loss drops the Greyhounds into the red with a 2-3 card, also in MAC play. The Dutchmen piled up sixteen points in the first period on a pair of touchdowns less than a minute apart, and a 33-yard field goal by sophomore fullback Tony DeMarco, and tacked on a third six-pointer in the third chukker to assume a 22-0 lead before the Greyhounds rallied for two touchdowns and a pair of two-point conversions in the closing chapter. DeMarco set up the first LVC score his field goal with a 47-yard gallop to the Moravian 17-yard line early in the frist period. The LVC attack bogged nwn Taki Bobntas was tripped up a loss on a third down play, and DeMarco then booted his three-pointer from the visiting 23-yard line after three minutes and twelve seconds of play.

No scoring developed in the second period, but' the Dutchmen were called upon to stave off one serious Moravian threat following a pass interception by Steve Marcovich on the Moravian 25 and a runback to the visiting 44. Cahill 'later suffered broken ribs and, a spleen injury, and will be lost for the season. The Greyhounds moved to tbe LVC 13 on Greg Seifert's pass to Bob Dilva; a IB-yard end run by Bob Smith, a sophomore scatback from Wilson Township, and a 14-yard romp by Seifert on a keeper.

Lebanon Valley stiffened at that juncture, and key tackles by freshman Bob Morris and sophomore Jim Grube choked off the threat. The Cards' fourlh triumph in six games kept them tied for the National Football League's Century Division lead with the Cleveland Browns, who blanked the Sayers-less Bears 24-0 for their fourlh straight victory. Green Bay's NFL champions also flexed their muscles in demolishing New York 48-21 while Minnesota fought Baltimore to a 20-20 standoff, Los Angeles and Washington played to a 2S-2S tie, San Francisco whipped New Orleans 27-13, Dallas edged Pittsburgh 24-21 and Delroit beat Atlanta 24-3. Hart hit on 16 of 29 passes for 267 yards as St. Louis poured across 45 straight points to wipe out the Eagles' 14-3 first-quarter lead. Jackie Smith grabbed a pair of Hart strikes for 74 and eight-yard scoring plays and Bobby Joe Conrad and rookie Dave Williams caught one TD pass apiece.

While the Cards were making their biggest point splurge in St. Louis since 1962, the Browns recorded their first regular-season shutout since 1960 while Sayers, Chicago's offensive sparkplug, watched from the sidelines with a bruised left leg. Roman Gabriel's six-yard TD pass to Bernie Casey with 64 seconds to play capped a 75- yard march and earned the Hams a tie with the Redskins. Sonny Jurgensen's fourth scoring pass, a 39-yarder to Jerry Smith, gave Washington a 28-21 lead minutes before Gabriel hit for the tying touchdown. The deadlocks were the second straight for both the Colts and Rams, who struggled to 24-24 lie last week. John Brodie passed for two touchdowns and Tommy Davis kicked a pair of field goals, leading the 49ers past winless New Orleans for their fifth victory in six games.

Craig Morton hit Peltis Nor- pass to Gary Collins broke a scoreless tie in the third quarter and the Browns wrapped up the victory with a 17-point final period. The Bears, held to nine first clowns, did not threaten until the closing minutes, when they reached the Cleveland seven as time ran out. Quarterback Bart Starr returned to the Packers' line-up after missing two games with injuries and directed an awesome running attack that produced 38 points in the second with 24 seconds to play, giving the Cowboys the nod over Pittsburgh in another wild finish. Morton's third scoring flip of the game came just 48 seconds after the Steelers grabbed the lead on Kent Nix' 11-yard TD pass to J.R. Wilburn.
