THE DEMING HEADLIGHT IP'S; r. ti LIBERTY LOAN DEMONSTRATION A demonstration is being arranged by McLaughlin, city chairman of the Liberty Loan committee, and Forbes Parkhill, secretary of the Chamber of Commerce, for next week, when a street parade of decorated automobiles and other vehicles will be held, entertainments will be given at the theatres, and if akers will address the crowds from convenient and strategic points on their duty to the country at this time, and will urge the purchase of Liberty Bonds to the limit. LIEUTENANT HODSON MARRIED Lieut. Homer J- Hodson, exchange officer of the 127th held artillery, and Miss Jessie C. Jemigan of Alton, 111., were married here last week by Rev.

Carter of Columbus and Miss Esther Porcher of lola were married here on Saturday evening by Rev. W. E. Foulks at his home. The bride is the daughter of F.

Hurt made a business trip to Deming Monday. The Borderland Home Club met with Mrs. Grey, Thursday of last week. A most enjoyable time was enjoyed by all present. Among the features of the afternoons entertainment was a delicious lunch served bv the hostess, Mrs.
