FOR SALE 1 about 2.5UO wagon, 1 farm 1 two-horss harness, 1 set The largest fire loss in the history of Camp Cody since the partial destruction of Warehouse No. 9 of the quartermaster department, was witnessed Friday morning when fire of unknown origin broke out in the roof of the Knights of Columbus building near the intersection of Cody and Cook avenues. The building was gutted and loss amounting to $3,000 inflicted before the flames could be extinguished. There was no insurance.

Leroy Murphy, secretary of the said that he did not know the origin of the fire unless it was caused by defective wiring or a defective flue in the kitchen. Many of Mr. Murphys personal effects were destroyed. I wish to thank the soldier firemen for the work they did. It was simply marvellous the way -they got control of the fire after the flames had gained such headway, said Mr.

Murphy. The city department also did mighty good work and deserves credit. Mr. Murphy wasted no time bemoaning his loss, personally cr as a worker in tk' cause of the soldiers. From divisi headquarters die received the asb.gnment of temporary quarters in Mess Hall 6, Section 10, where he will carry on his work until the K.

of C. building can be repaired. This has started. TO OUR ADVERTISERS It would be a great help to the Headlight if the local advertisers would make an effort to have advertising copy in by noon of the Thurs day of each week, if possible. This insures you getting the choice of positions and it also allows the composing room staff to have more time to make a good looking jdvertisment.

PNEUMONIA CAUSE AND PREVENTION By N. F. Chapman, City Health Officer It is now generally believed by the medical profession that pneumonia is carried in the secretions of the nose, mouth and respiratory tracts of those who have it. Formerly it was thought that nearly everybody, healthy people and others, earned the pneumococus or germ that causes pneumonia in the secretions of the mouth, nose and throat, and that these germs got in their work when ones physical resistance is lowered. This is no longer thought to be necessarily true.

Now that we know more about pneumonia, thanks to the Rockefeller Institute, we know better how to avoid it. First of all, we know every case of pneumonia should be regarded as a possible source of infection. Since the disease is infectious, we know that every patient should be isolated as soon as possible, and communication with other people reduced to a minimum. Furthermore, all eating and drinking utensils, handkerchiefs, clothing and bedding should be kept separate and thoroughly sterilized before being again put into general use. This precaution should be continued for thirty days after the patient is well.

Those in attendance or in contact with pneumonia patients should refrain from kissing and spitting, and should cover the mouth and nose when coughing. They should also avoid visiting mingling with other persons. Fresh air for the patient and the attendants and every one else is one of the greatest factors in both the Prevention and cure of this disease. neumonia is frequently called a foul air disease because it is so frequently on account of lack of ventilation that the infection is spread. The poorly ventilated overcrowded picture show is one of the known pneumonia spreaders.

PARCEL POST LIMITS ENLARGED Under a ruling that will go into effect on March 15th, the sJze of packages that may be sent fcy pared post into the first, second and third zones is raised from fifty pounds to seventy, and in all the remaining zones it is raised from twenty pounds to fifty. This change has been made necessary on account of the congestion of all classes of freight all over the country, and it is the aim of the government to aid in moving farm produce and factory products as much as possible. The permission to send larger packages through the mails will enaole the farmers to ship their produce much faster and more BUY THE BEST HY continue te eat just ordinary groceries when you can just as well have the best for the asking? Why continue to pay atiff prices for ordinary groceries, when you can get the best for the same money, and sometimes for less? Why punish your stomach and impair your health by consuming the ordinary brands when you can just as easily build up a fine physique by buying goods of purity and quality? i.
