She was 48. Born May 30, 1958, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Harold Reinhardt of Taylors Island and the late Patricia L. McNair Reinhardt. She married James Clarence Swain and they made their home in Centreville.

She worked at K-Mart in Kent Island as a front-end manager. She loved telling jokes, knitting, painting and participating in the local town parades. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and was loved by everybody at K-Mart. In addition to her husband and father, Mrs. Swain is survived by a daughter, Sabrina E.

Myers of Virginia; one grandson, Jason Myers a brother, Al Reinhardt Jr. and a stepbrother, Michael Walters, both of Baltimore. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 24, at the Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home P.A., Centreville, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Marvel of Queen Anne died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis. She was 79. Born Jan. 2, 1928, in Greenville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Zeno Chandler and Annye Mae Caruthers Tharp. Her husband, Thomas Henry Marvel died July 26, 1996.

She was a lifelong committed member of Easton Church of God, where she held various positions with the church. During her lifetime, she had Michael V. Franklin ANNAPOLIS Michael Vernon Franklin passed away Monday, May 14, 2007, at age 56. He was a loving son, devoted father, close brother and a good decent man who will be missed by many. Born in Baltimore, Michael was one of seven children to Immor Clyte and Millie Franklin.

In his younger years, he thrived in athletics and was named an All American Lacrosse Player. His promising lacrosse career was cut short by the Vietnam draft. Michael entered the Army, applied for and received an Honorable Discharge as a conscientious objector in 1972. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts from UMBC and briefly taught high school English. Michael then worked for several years in retail wine sales before founding Franklin Selections a wine import, wholesale and distribution business.

The company grew to great success obtaining locations in Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina. network of associates, contacts and friends span the globe and he will always be remembered as a pillar in the wine industry. With the sale of Franklin Selections, Michael took a well-earned sabbatical, enjoying his semi-retirement by traveling and nursing his other passion, playing golf. Michael is survived by his children, Alec and Rachel Franklin; his siblings, Clyte Franklin, Linda Garber and her husband CJ, Dale Franklin and his wife Alison, Charles Franklin, Debbie Peterson and Christine Franklin, two nieces, one nephew, two great-nieces and many others who loved him. Nina Clinton CORDOVA Nina Helen Coker Clinton, 81, died May 22, 2007, at her home.

Services at 11 a.m. Friday at the Christ Episcopal Church, Stevensville. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home P.A., Chester. Private burial at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.

Walter LeCompte Walter LeCompte passed away Monday, May 14, 2007, at his home. He was 72. Mr. LeCompte was born June 6, 1934, in Philadelphia, Pa. He attended St.

Michaels High School. A retired U.S. Air Force veteran, he served during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He continued his government service with the U.S. Postal Service in 1973, retiring in 2000.

Dutch was preceded in death by his son, Daniel. He is survived by his wife, June; and sons Marty, Ronney and Andrew, along with their wives. He was the grandfather of Joey, Sarah, Cheri, Audrey, Nathaniel and Leslie, and the great-grandfather of Justin. He is also survived by his sister, Gladys Handy of Ocean City; his brother-in-law, Marvin Bieber of New York; and his nephews and nieces, Gene L. Broderick, Robert LeCompte, Lee LeCompte, Larry LeCompte, Diane Smith, Jerry LeCompte and Susan L.

Regan Jr. of Tilghman Island died May 19, 2007. He was 57. Born Oct. 21, 1949, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Robert L.

Regan Sr. of Knoxville, and the late June Jones Regan. Mr. Regan served in the USMC during the Vietnam War. During his enlistment, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry.

Mr. Regan graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in hospitality and hotel management. He worked for several years for Donohue Estate in Talbot County. He collected and sold antiques for many years and was known for his artistic abilities to repair pottery. In addition to his father, he is survived by two sisters, Donna L.

Hoefle of Ft. Worth, Texas and Joanie M. Regan of Seattle, three brothers, Clara A. Roche EASTON Clara A. Roche, 101, of Easton passed away Monday, May 21, 2007.

She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Cuttler of Easton. Services and burial will be in Pennsylvania. Memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Suite, Memorial Hospital, Easton or to the Talbot Hospice, Cynwood Drive, Easton. Dorothy M. Schriver On Saturday, May 19, 2007, Dorothy Marian Schriver, beloved wife of the late Oliver M.

Schriver of Chevy Chase, loving mother of Steven P. Schriver of Beverly Hills, Michael D. Schriver DVM of Denton and the late Peter M. Schriver. Also survived by two grandchildren, Oliver Michael Schriver and Mary Emilie Schriver of Easton.

Mrs. Schriver was born in Devil Lake, N.D., June 26, 1918, daughter of the late Charles and Sophie Stromme Olson. Her father died shortly after her birth. Her mother was remarried in 1921 to Elmer Robert Reynolds, a U.S. Post Office official, and the family lived in Washington, D.C., and Vienna, Va.

Mr. Reynolds died in 1948 succeeded by Mrs. Reynolds in 1984. Mrs. Schriver was employed by Science Service Inc.

and was involved in the launching of the Westinghouse Science Talent Search, a scholarship program for high achieving high school seniors and became director of the program for the next 28 years. She was also director of the International Science and Bill Shook Wilson Murray Shook of Chicago, formerly of Washington, D.C., Oakland, and Boston, died May 19, 2007. He was 55. He was the beloved husband for 29 years of Nancy, Schrotz; loving father of Benjamin, Wilson, Sara and Joseph; cherished son of the late Richard and Ruth Doench Shook; dear brother of Leslie (J. Bradford) Dalton and Langley (Karen) Shook; fond uncle of 13; and great-uncle of four.

Bill was the president of the Northern Division of Clark Construction, where he led many successful multi-million dollar building endeavors throughout the country. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, at Michigan Shores Club, 911 Michigan Wilmette, Ill. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Wm.

Stafford Jr. GREENSBORO Goldsborough James William Stafford Jr. of Greensboro passed away Sunday, May 20, 2007, at home. He was 57. Born Jan.

18, 1950, in Easton, he was the son of Evelyn Chance Stafford of Greensboro and the late Goldsborough James William Stafford Sr. Mr. Stafford graduated from North Caroline High School in 1969. He served in the U.S. Army for four years.

Chandler Smith, Brynne S. Akers, Jennifer Marvel, Angella Marvel and Samantha Marvel; and three great-grandchildren, Triston Cottle, Emily Akers and Wesley Akers.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Landing Neck Cemetery, Trappe. Memorial contributions may be made to the Easton Church of God Scholarship Fund, 1009 N. Mrs. Schriver retired from Science Service Inc. in 1990. Since her retirement, she had been involved as a volunteer at Sibley Hospital and a member of Bethesda Country Club where she was a playing member of the ladies golf association. Services will be held at 11 a.m.

member of the Moose, VFW and American Legion. He worked as a mechanic for Choptank Electric Co. for 18 years. Recently, he worked for SFA Defense Products in Easton. His interests were spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing and farming.

Mr. Stafford was preceded in death by his father. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Goldsborough Stafford III and his wife Lori of Federalsburg; his grandchildren, Ashlyn and Jalyn Stafford; his brother, Mark Stafford of Greensboro; his sister, Barbara S. Nashold of Henderson; his friend, Cindy Saulsbury of Easton and her children Heather Goodger and Aaron Saulsbury and her grandson Timmer; and his former wife, Rosemary Seely of Greenwood, Del. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m.
