2, a retired employe of Rudisill Foundry Company, died Wednesday at his residence after a long illness. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Williams officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lora K. Carter of Mun-ford; a daughter, Mrs. Frances Turner of Birmingham; four brothers, W. H.

Carter and Claxton Carter, both of Birmingham, Ralph Carter of Oxford and V. G. Carter of Anniston; a sister, Mrs. Arleys Newton of Orlando, and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ray Williams, Frank Bannister, James Franklin, Jimmy Stewart, Carl Brown and Mike Butterworth.

A native of Clay County, Carter was a resident of Talladega County the past 23 years. He was owner and operator of Carter Trailer Park, a veteran of World War II and a member of Northside Baptist Church. The body will remain at the residence until one hour prior to services. MRS. MAVIS MORRIS Mrs.

Mavis Goodwin Morris, 45, of Atlanta, died Wednesday in Atlanta after a brief illness. Funeral services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Blue Mountain Baptist Church. Burial will be in Edgemont Cemetery with Gray Brown-Service Mortuary in charge. Survivors include her husband, Melvin L.

Morris of Atlanta a son, David Goodwin of Forest Park, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Slaughter of Rockmart, two brothers; and four sisters. JOSEPH E. LOYD PIEDMONT Joseph Edgar Loyd, 11-year-old son of Mr.

and Mrs. Jewel E. Loyd of 113 Hamilton Drive, Piedmont, died Wednesday at a Gadsden hospital as the result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Mickelsen Brown-Service Chapel with the Rev.

Edward Lynn and the Rev. A. J. Carr officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rock Run Baptist Church with the Rev. John Rice and the Rev. Russell Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Piedmont Memory Gardens with Mickelsen Brown-Service Mortuary in' charge.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jane Barnard Newton; a son, Barry Newton; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Forrest Newton, all of Esom Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Molly Thompson of Cedartown, and Mrs.

S. L. "Red" Moore, 63, formerly of Anniston, died Wednesday at his residence here after a brief illness. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Memory Gardens Chapel with burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Stella Moore of Medford; a daughter, Mrs. Margie Rock of Portland, five sisters, Mrs. Bertha Hicks of Anniston, Mrs. Rena Romine of Snider, Mrs.

Cassie McFall of Cedartown, and Mrs. Willie Williams and Mrs. Sadie Shedd, both of Bell Gardens, Calif two granddaughters; and several nieces and jjephews. A native of Anniston, he was a former employe of Acme Weaving Mill and resided in Medford the past 23 years.
