By KONRAD SUROWIEC Staff Writer CENTREVILLE Queen County Register of Wills Winsie A.Cannon and Court Judges Penelope Ann B.Morris and Joseph DiPietro began their new terms on About 35 people attended the swearing-in ceremony Tuesday morning in the court hearing room in the Liberty Building.Catherine was honored for her many years of service.A finished fourth in a field of six candidates in the November election and lost her bid for a seventh straight term on the court. County Clerk of the Circuit Court Scott MacGlashan delivered the oath of office to Keating, Morris and Democrat. Each won election to a four-year term.It’s the first term for Keating and the second term for Morris.Cannon has served 16 years and is beginning her fifth term.Also taking the oath of office were four deputy registers of A.Egolf, Deborah A.Callahan,Laura N. Cook and Helen M.Cecil. privileged and honored to have a wonderful Cannon.

Cannon thanked the people who helped with her campaign, including her friends William and Madelyn E.Wooters.A former register of Wooters served as campaign treasurer.Cannon said she is blessed to have a wonderful family and honored to serve the people of Queen County. She thanked the judges of the court for their work and promised to provide professional serv- ice to all. will especially miss Miss Kit- ty.She’s been a friend and with me for 16 Cannon. Clevenger received warm applause from the gifts and words of praise.Flo- rence attended on behalf of Del.Wheeler Queen a resolution passed by the Maryland House of Delegates honoring Clevenger for her 24 years of service on the court.Cannon gave her a wrapped present. behalf of the county a plaque to Clevenger.From the three court judges she received a let me pound it.Now I can go home and pound Clevenger.

MacGlashan said court is a misnomer because it is really a probate court.He said Cannon a very tough job and so does this court when people are in times of DiPietro said the three court judges are but are to work for the people of Queen will try to do the best job they can.
